I love the song, but the school gyrls group... They just ruined it for me. I don't think I'll watch the video again. It's too awkward seeing this, groups who do not know the WGs will get confused by this having like five other girls.

That song and video are really bad, it hurts to watch. It just sounds like every other generic "dance" artist in America, which now ends up sounding like rap, dubstep, and techno all put together. This is just plain bad, but I guess I didn't really expect anything else from an attempt to break the US market. Deep down I hope it fails so they'll stop pushing Korean stuff in the US and Japan, but it seems they haven't learned all the other times they tried it, so I don't think it'd do any good.

I love this so much. I really don't mind the other group. But I am excited that there's a Wonder Girls solo version, and in about an hour when it's released on US iTunes, it'll be mine.

Part of the appeal of K-pop is the amount of work that goes into the production of a song and music video. This was extremely phoned in.
From simply listening, and I know I'll be crucified for this, I feel the School Gyrls gave a much better overall vocal performance. The two girls that got to sing have pretty strong voices in comparison to Sohee - whom I think was a terrible choice to give the meat of the vocals to. Her English pronounciation is pretty awful and her voice isn't one that should be pushed to the front for the sake of initial impressions for American audiences.
Hell, even that rapper chick's rap portion was better than Yubin's. Too bad all of the School Gyrls are really tacky looking!

I think it was about the same for both groups, but it wasn't a good performance for either. The dance shot was kinda boring because we couldn't really see their expressions, and that DJ is not cute enough to be fighting over, come on now girls I know there's hotter guys in the club. And why is the DJ so desirable? Man, they don't even spin records like they used to.
The cameo from JYP was the cutest part, and that's really...sad. I did like the thick black girl that rapped, girl was working it when it came to the dance. But like AEUG said, it's like they took the top 10 songs and put them in a blender to get something that everyone would like. Eh. I do have the chorus stuck in my head after listening, so maybe I'll stick it in a playlist to see if it lasts, but I doubt it.
Spelling girls as gyrls really makes me wonder how many people in America don't understand how things are pronounced differently once you change a single letter. It's GUYrls with the y and sounds/looks utterly ridiculous. Did you really think you'd gain cool points by proving that you can't spell? Ugh I want to give whoever came up with the group name a lobotomy*. Oh, and don't think I didn't notice your "multicultural" group left out the latina.
But it looks like you have a halfie, so there's a little going in your favor.
*Note that a lobotomy sounds extreme but they're already near that state so it doesn't make much of a difference.

A lot of kpop MVs are filmed only a few days before they're released. Some of them are really rushed.

As long as we're bragging, when I saw them in Denver with 2AM I got to touch Yubin's hand, and they all waved specifically at me several times (I was front row, and taller than the entire room of tiny Asian girls. So basically any time they would look in my general direction I would wave awkwardy and they'd notice every once in a while). My friend even commented that Lim "loved" me because she kept acknowledging me. hahaha.
Also, Jo Kwon's hands are the smoothest I've ever touched. Ain't no girls got nothin' on him!!

I didn't like the School Gyrls to begin with because they had a suck name. Now I really don't like them.

During the Wonder Girls fighting, I was waiting for cat fight Korean mud slinging with subtitles but got heavy on the accent English instead. :<

That movie was a lot shorter than I was expecting, but good stuff. School Gyrls's songs suck though, and the last one kept reminding me of Selena Gomez's I love you like a love song babeh, I I love you like a love song babeh blah blah repea-ea-ea-ea-eat. But less auto-tune could make them worth listening to! 
The multicultural member thing feels a bit cheap and over the top, but I can deal.
And I still don't like Be My Baby, but the other one they sang about loving me more than cars something or other sounded good. Anyone know what song that was?

That song is Like Money, apparently. I cringed when I first heard it but then I came around.
Is it bad that my first thoughts about the movie other than "Oh, this is awful" were how funny it was that WG were painted as kind of liesure-obsessed?
However, by the time JYP rolled around in his skull footie pajamas and $$$ eye mask I had come around to appreciating the movie as cheesy Disney fun. One question though... Is it just me, or did Sunye get assigned practically no lines or personality at all?
Yubin's rap bit in the English version of Be My Baby isn't nearly as good as the Korean version. Sad!

I don't watch TV show appearances or interviews with KPop, so that makes it harder to learn who's who. There are very few names I know in all of KPop: 2NE1, Clazziquai, Boram, Sunny, Hyoyeon, and now some of WG (though this is still going to be shaky).

Don't worry, the only one I know is Lim. :D And I love her, but mostly because I saw her appear with Super Junior's Kyuhyun on some music show way back when and they bonded over being their groups' maknaes.
And I know Sohee because Heechul apparently really likes her and they were on Happy Together (? I think) where they didn't match up with each other and Heechul threw a fit. But she hardly had any lines in the movie, so I don't have any real clue about who she is other than being the hot one or something.
