As much as I like Tomoko as an idol, I'm not a big fan of her singing voice. I'd choose to see Karin over her ten times out of ten.

I wonder if she'll graduate next year or whether they want to give Juice some break. At this point all of the original members can be one foot into new things - Karin already is, for sure.

I could not for the life of me remember who it was of the current lineup that didn’t get the award and it turns out it was Juice Juice. Maybe UFP forgot about it that year.

It's gonna be interesting to see if BEYOOOOONDS can sustain their success, because aside from just wanting more great stuff from them, I want to see how MM reacts to being seriously challenged by another H!P group.

Honestly BEYOOOOONDS was pretty close, they were only 30k away from beating MM's last single (Jinsei/Seishun). Megane/DNA/Go Waist actually outsold Brand New Morning/Jealousy Jealousy. Runner-up is Tsubaki. Angerme and Ju=Ju have been selling about the same since JJ added its 2nd gen, and Tsubaki has actually been outselling them both. 

 

So I'm also curious to see where BEYOOOOONDS goes.... I mean shoot, if they really get some decent public exposure and keep up the entertaining songs/characters, they could technically outsell MM at some point. But 15th gen might boost MM sales. Only time (and management practices) will tell, lol

15th gen and BYNDS have me stoked because, with J=J and Angerme likely to both lose important members in 2020, these groups represent the immediate future of H!P to me. MM will probably lose members, too, but their replacements are already here and already killing it.

MM won’t ever lose their status as the flagship. They’re the only group in H!P that’s ever been relevant even if it’s been ages. Beyonds weren’t nominated for a single award other than the one all the new H!P groups win. They’re not really what’s mainstream.

Angerme had three graduations in a year. Plus Funaki in March will be 4. That’s like a Morning Musume level ship dump. They obviously want to keep their group at a solid even number considering they only want one girl to essentially replace one girl.

There’s only 10 members in Angerme right now and if they stick to adding one girl like the title of their audition says, it will remain at 10 once Funaki leaves in March.

I wonder if this would be happening at all had Funaki not decided to leave. As it is, though, there is at least a 50-50 chance that Takeuchi announces her graduation sometime this year, which would make for an almost unfathomable talent drain over 2 years. I think they could survive a Takeuchi graduation if Musubu were still around for the long-haul -- you'd have a a solid core of Murota, Sasaki, Moe and Funaki -- but without her, it becomes dicey. If they can strike gold like they did with MM 15th gen, though, no one will care.

To be honest, maybe I'm just disappointed by the last additions. Fair, another Moe would be great. And it says a lot that their best last addition was also not from the KSS (Layla).
