Anyone seen Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) ? Yoko Kanno's back with her jazzie self in the music. Found the album on Jpopsuki.

I was reading some Sakamichi reviews after and someone mentioned Swing Swing Swing. Which brought me to the original Benny Goodman version from1938, which I think needs to be shared if none of you have heard it before. It's the must amazing piece of music ever.

It's on Crunchyroll but I haven't started watching it yet as I am currently juggling Bleach, Fate/Zero, Gintama, the very weird Mysterious Girlfriend X, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and another weird one Durarara. Oh and Warehouse 13 and The 4400 on Netflix....my brain hurts .

I have never been, nor will I likely ever be able to explain my love for M.I.A.'s music. She's so awkward, and her music is highly hit or miss, and yet her songs just keep becoming my jam.

So enjoy Bad Girls, I guess.

When I first saw Bad Girls I constantly had to smile and laugh.
That's one of the most bizarre (at least from our cultural pov) shit in a MV I've seen in a long time.

I like Paper Plains and XXXO are two good songs.

M.I.A. songs I will readily drive fast/do an awkward dance to:

Paper Planes
10 Dollar
Bamboo Banga
World Town
Jimmy
Come Around
You know what, most of Kala.

And now Bad Girls. Sigh.

Fuck, apparently it's English. Hear that noise in the distance? That's Shakeaspeare, Chaucer, Dickens, Shelley, Keats et al turning in their graves.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the rest of the world for this abomination discharged from the anus of Beelzebub.

America, please accept this as payback for Madonna.

Turtle, if you'd like to blame Sri Lanka in part as well, I'm sure that'd be valid.

This mashup should not work, and yet there it is.

There's absolutely no reason for Nelly to be in that song.

On 18.11.2011 I've downloaded Roly Poly in Copacabana (the mini-album) and for some reason I've never listened to more than the two Roly Polys.
Big McHugelarge mistake.
I fell in love with Wae Ireoni (Remix ver.) immediately when I first heard it.

In fact the whole CD is so wonderful (except for two songs, which I don't have a real opinion on yet) that I decided to buy it with SNSD's Oh! today.

Rie a.k.a. Suzaku's new album Dreaming Eyes.

I just hope it sells well so that the poor girl can afford some clothes, she's just asking for a chesty cold if she doesn't wrap up warmly.

Also bought Mother Earth while I was at it. God, she can play a guitar :jam: .

I listened to this album and Youth Without Youth is the only good track. The rest is a snorefest.

Honda Minako, may she rest in peace, was an amazing singer. I was always in to her older stuff, but someone uploaded some of her newer classical music and it was amazing. So now I'm having Honda Minako month.

Why can't we have more Japanese singers like her? :<

Suzuki Kanon would like to have a word with you.

I actually did check that in Japanese both Minako and Kanon's names are written using the same characters as the motor companies. In other news, my headache is not getting any better.

If you want to go there, Suzuki Airi says Hi.

But anyway, I've found fault in newer Honda Minako songs. Tsubasa is horrible showboaty song. Was that note REALLY necessary? It just kept going on and on.

I still enjoy her older stuff more then her newer stuff. It's all covers and standards. :<

Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) new vocal - Kate Bush

Woman's still got it, this has got such a power to it that the original didn't have. Her voice has changed but damn it still sounds amazing. I hope we get another new album soon with powerful songs so she can really show off her voice. 50 Words for Snow was gorgeous but very understated.

Found my old cd/dvd folder case thing and realized I haven't listened to Shiina Ringo's discography with my Senn cans yet. Correcting this.

Also, looking through it made me miss 2004 era H!P.
