I saw that Janken Book in Tower Records, picked it up, almost bought it, but then decided I didn't want to waste 1,000 yen on AKB and put it back. I guess this proves even if I know all their names, I'm not an otaku :P

I forgot to put Kuroi Tenshi and Seifuku Resistance, but other than that it's perfect! :) I have to say that the older songs are still much better than the newer ones, but oh well.

They should have a challenge and try and get one of the girls to write a song for OJS48, it'd be like..the opposite kind of.

So I made this Top 20 list of songs you should listen to.

OK. Quoting for a new page so I can look these songs up and give it a final "get into AKB not just Takamina" shot. If the music can't hook me the girls never would alone.

I just have a thing for their older music, I like the 80s sound of Nageki no Figure and Kiss wa dame yo a lot, but I remember my ex hated those songs. He had no taste!

Singer-songwriter Angela Aki (34) announced on her blog that she is going to become a mother. She is currently in her fifth month of pregnancy and is expected to give birth in late February 2012.
Aki has been married to a music director (45) since March 2007.
It is reported that she wants to continue with her activities for now as much as her health will allow. She is hoping to perform at Nippon Budokan around the end of the year as she has done for the past five years. She has also appeared on NHK’s year-end music show Kouhaku Uta Gassen for the past five years.
Aki has a new album “WHITE” that is being released on September 28. She found out she was pregnant in mid-July, while she was working on the album.

Nice song, thanks! The two lead singers reminded me of the two lead girls from SweetS, which led me on a "where are they now?" search, which showed me that lil' Namie released a couple of mini-albums in the past couple of years!THIS song is so win. I LOVE IT.

I think it's better to have original songs/relatively unknown songs than have MM/AKB/etc. I loooooove these songs and BeForU, of course.

Hello Ashida Mana
I know she's Japan IT girl right now, but she's still only 7. I worry about her future when in regards to how quickly Japan loses interest in things.

Full album available for your listening pleasure. You know, legally like.

Can't say I care too much, it's just too repetitive and dull. But maybe people who used to be into The Velvet Underground will be more excited. Nevertheless, it's not horrible, and maybe I just had the wrong expectations about it when I read about the project some time ago. I was imagining either something more typical Metallica-like, or Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds-esque, just with a heavier edge.

Singer Koda Kumi (29) has just announced on her official website that she is getting married to KENJI03 (27) of the band BACK-ON. The couple plan to register their marriage by the end of this year.
Few details are currently known about their relationship. However, Koda previously collaborated with BACK-ON when the band composed and arranged the song “Poppin’ love cocktail feat. TEEDA” on Koda’s 50th single “4 TIMES,” which was released this past August. KENJI03 was part of the chorus for that song.
BACK-ON also collaborated with Koda’s sister misono for a single titled “with you feat. Me” this past February.

You are right! Clicking around youtube just now tells me that this band's other music videos are similarly awesome (in other ways).

she needs to get the baby in before she rots.
She got the baby in before she rotted.
Ugh. Why does Japan put pressure on people to get married when they are pregnant? Is it the whole 'not bringing shame on your family' bullshit? It's really outdated. I really wish somebody in the limelight would just say, 'no thank you, I don't want to get married yet.' It's not even a religious thing so I don't understand it at all. It's starting to get very old and boring, hopefully somebody starts the feminism thing in Japan one of these days, instead of all this 'yes sir no sir' shit.
or get an abortion, do they even have those?

Abortion is legal in Japan and they have rather high numbers:

.... Ugh, I am so disappointed in you, Kumiii. :( What poor planning to have a tour right after this. "Discussing it with [her] staff" means she'll either have a really, really awkwardly tame tour (and this is erokawaii Kumi we're talking about here), or she'll have to push back all the dates.
I'm happy for her becoming a mother because I think she has a very nurturing personality and will be a wonderful mom, but the now-apparently shotgun marriage and work complications I am not. Ah well, life happens. I just wish people could be a little more responsible sometimes at least.

I think it has more to do with the extremely prevalent idea of a Japanese mom being a housewife to be honest, but I have no proof of that being the case. Just a thought I've always had with J-entertainment and people only marrying once a baby's in the mix. I'm beginning to think Japanese entertainers think of marriage as something you do only when children are involved.
