So they did. The board grew and flourished over the years, as well as shrank and contracted. There were ups and downs for whatever reasons, yet despite people's expectations for us to fail and crash and burn, we still live. There's still a community here that refuses to die despite some people really hoping for it. Kind of like H!P itself.

So this turnover is the latest part of that, I guess. Peach and I have been around for a while: we've seen different admin and ownership styles, and we have our own ideas of what direction to take the board in. Being a part of the community means a lot to us, so Peach and I both jumped at the opportunity to take over when no one else would. We decided that we'd be co-owners: she's the chief here, and I'm taking care of the hosting. Shelly (strawberryjam) is still head tech guru, also, and we owe her a lot for her hard work in maintaining and bringing up the board. This board wouldn't be here if it weren't for her, basically. She put in a lot of work and finished the tech parts way before the re-opening of the board, despite being on vacation where she shouldn't be working. Give her many, many thanks next time you see her.
The board was down for over a month now, and I'm sure that some people didn't really care if it came back or not or would've been glad if it didn't. I don't know about you, but it felt a little empty not having the board and its people around. We hope that the community means a lot to you guys as well, and that you'll participate and help out where you can. It wouldn't be the same without everyone's participation, since that's the very definition of a community. We hope that you trust us to lead it.
