Edit: GIVE ME FIVE - Short PV is out. The long PV is like insane 30+ minute drama.

Ah, the wonders of using a studio to change the sound to something you can listen to. haha
It's still very AKB-formulaic though, I was hoping for something more experimental and less choir-y. Through the whole song it just sounds like one melody all the time, except for the mandatory instrumental 15 seconds near the end.
I was hoping for chorous, bridges, longer instrumental etc.

Takamina & Yuko at the guitars and Yuki at the drums look pretty cool I have to say.

If what the reports say is true, I think this was actually a good thing for Watarirouka. They're definitely my favorite sub-group by far, but I never cared too much for Nacchan or Wasamin (not that they were bad, but they never stood out,) but apparently both of them were dropped from the group and they took the "7" off the name, so its back to 5 members, with the lineup as Mayu, Love-tan, Harugon, Komorin, and Kikuchi <3 Wasamin is going solo anyway, so its not like you won't be seeing her around. But those 5 that the group consists of now are some of my overall favorites from all of AKB. Love it.

I hope that's true. WataHashi is by far my favorite sub-group. Outside of H!P it's probably my favorite group.Though I never did understand why they added the two girls. The group seemed fine the way it was.

As no one in this lineup interests me in the slightest I found the PV boring because of this and the song just as much.

Got to admit, I only watched this to see how Melody faired with the other girls. Stuck out like a soar thumb so it wasn't hard to spot her. The more I watch her the more I think Sumire was better meant for AKB48 and never to be a H!P member.
Oh and are they recreating Heavy Rotation? I skipped the entire storyline part and went straight to the music.

With two girls whom I know in this group, I was mostly interested in this song. Of course it was slow and I hate slow from anyone associated with the 48s. (Same could be said for H!P. In general I just dislike slow songs from Japanese artists.) PV on the other hand, wtf? Not sure what was going on, but hello Pagan!


On an aside note, I want to burn that hat on Takahashi Minami's head SO bad! The one she's wearing in promo for Give Me Five. Or do this!

I see it as they are really playing up the idol mold of being untouchable virginal idols, or some religious mumbo jumbo I can't quite compute this early in the morning.

They actually know how to play the song and have played the song 100% live a few times. Look earlier in this thread, there's a video. They started playing the instruments late last year and now play it live, so its not just faking!

Watanabe Mayu announced her grad at this years Sousenkyo.

NMB48's Sutou Ririka also announced she's getting married. Magazine said they were gonna drop a 48 scandal right after the event was over so she's basically just beating them to the punch.

Announcing her wedding is basically admetting she was dating someone during her membership, that's courageous to say it this way (and not only "Retiring bc stuff happened.") And good for her she announced it before people magazines.

Combine that with the fact that the 48 groups peaked years ago, her career is over. Hopefully getting married at 20 is really what she wants.
