Sometimes it feels like Hello! Project is defined by disappointment. We live for the feeling of Tsunku letting us down, again and again. And again.

But sometimes he does something to us that gives us a new perspective on the word disappointment. That's when we get out our torches and pitchforks and camp out in front of UFA (in our heads). This year certainly has no shortage of candidates so get you nominations in before the ballot closes!

Biggest dissapointment to me was the Morning Musume, Happy 8 Audition

It started off great and ended with the biggest disappointment of only one girl. One girl that has the biggest streak of love/hate supporters I've ever seen since Koharu made it it.

Was WOW WOW WOW a disappointment to most people? I didn't mind it, except that it was the last Pucchimoni song ever and there should have been more. That could count as a 2006 grievance, I guess.

... Oh, I've made up my mind. MAKI. She was the biggest disappointment. ...In My Life was boring, SOME BOYS! TOUCH was arranged like shit and having her writhe on the floor wasn't helping matters, and Glass no Pumps was only somewhat tolerable. But, just the whole slutty image overhaul, it made me sad. To me, she's still that dorky kid I saw in that Love Machine PV from when I was first getting into H!P.

Although I did choose things that have been called disappointments, and I was certainly disappointed in the eventual patheticness of the release of that song (especially after all the hype surrounding it), I also choose the award names for a large part based on aesthetics. In this case, a sound of shock and surprise, times three.

"Wow Wow Wow" is one of my all time favorite H!P recordings.

I vote for the collective 2006 MM singles as biggest disappointment. "Sexy Boy" was tolerable, but that's about the best I can say.
