Wait, Reina and Sayumi were in the concert? I didn't know they would be there.

Eh. Sayu and Reina being there was totally okay, but for an anniversary they could've tried to get a few more OGs.
Also, who the hell voted for One Two Three?!
Maybe everyone else was busy lol.
The venue was so small it didn't really look like a 20th anniversary event.

Say Yeah! Motto Miracle Night is the first song I ever heard by Morning Musume about 10 years ago, long before I ever became a fan of them (2014). It's my favorite for sure.

The only thing better than them doing "Say Yeah Motto Miracle Night" at their 20th anniv. concert is having Aibon and Nono on stage recreating their lines from it.

A better question is why Pyoko Pyoko was in the top 10. Such a weird song to choose (But Reina would be adorable in it)

Honestly I wish instead of 123, Love Machine, and RR21, all the time they just performed Say Yeah. That song is gold. Always been one of Top 10 MM songs.

That's exactly what I thought when I watched the digest.... Looked more like their typical Naruchika than a 20 year anniversary.... Shame =/

Ha ha! I was running late and ignored the "ignore" that should've been in there. That's sig-worthy, though.
I get that people like that song, but 1st place?

These are the same people who voted One Two Three to third place, even though it's been performed at over 20 concerts since it was released five years ago. And it's actually more than that, that list doesn't include the live house tours. These are people who clearly can't be trusted.

Yeah, it's not like OTT wasn't going to be performed anyway.
So that was the extent of their 20th Anniversary festivities? No OGs? No Tsunku appearance? No Taka-san? Nothing? That's fuckin' lame.

The entire event is weird and out of place, because the fall tour is actually named after the 20th anniversary. I guess they just wanted to do something on the actual day, because the tour doesn't start until the 23rd I believe.
A Tsunku appearance might be iffy in general to make work on a stage setting. He can speak now, but I don't think he does for any public appearances. And those aren't regular to begin with, especially with him no longer living in Japan.

Maybe not, but in most cases wouldn't you think of a 20th anniversary as the exception to any rule? I mean that's twenty years!! And that goes for more than just Tsunku's non-appearance.
Idk I just think it's really odd to have such a lackluster celebration.

I didn't go into the OGs because I felt like that was a more obvious one. They were either busy or declined to appear.

That's what I'm thinking, too. It just feels like further evidence of how far Tsunku has removed himself from MM.

Edit: we've also got three pregnant OGs who we can absolutely count on not performing.

I hate to see that most of that list has the updated version, like I understand Reina being a big part of it and 'needing' to be updated but the unecessary extra autotune in this one makes me not be able to enjoy this song at concerts to any extent anymore.

So basically until Sexy Boy came out motto miracle night was my favorite momusu song since I discovered them so I am happy about number 1. Also number 2. The rest of it is just....the most underwhelming set list/guests I've seen and has somehow been even more disappointing than I anticipated.

He's still writing most of their music. I feel like it's kind of wrong to ask any more of him than that.
Edit: we've also got three pregnant OGs who we can absolutely count on not performing.
Like TicTac said, it's their 20th Anniversary. It's not a small thing, and it only happens once. I'm stunned that UF would just nonchalant a milestone like this. Three pregnant OGs means they still have, what, 25 OGs to choose from? I find it difficult to believe that no former Musumes would want to take part in a 20th Anniversary concert, especially considering how often we see them show up to other important shows. Shit, they managed to find enough to have a silly variety show dance-off against AKB48, so scrounging up a few for a milestone event like this should be easy. I think Tsunku likewise would be happy to show up for such an event. It seems like UF didn't want to make it an event, though, for whatever reason.

I hope people didn't actually vote for the updated version...Did they really vote for the updated I Wish though, or is that just the version they chose to perform?

A lot of the wota worship the ground Tsunku walks on. There's probably a good deal of them who think Pyoko is excellent.
And either way, they obviously voted for it for Haruka.
