Why the idolatry?
I truly noticed Sunny watching Invincible Youth. The crowning moment of glory came when some nobody from inferior idol group was freaking out about grabbing a chicken. Sunny puts on a game face, marches in, grabs the chicken and walks out like the boss she is. She's almost too cute to be a boss, but she will own everyone that comes near with her superior idol powers. The only woman fierce enough to give her competition is SooYoung. Everyone who posts in this thread is expected to share when they first noticed Sunny and why they became a fan.

My name is Plum, and I am a Sunny stan. Sometimes, late at night, I write her letters I will never send. I'm relatively certain her eyelashes are made of unicorn's kisses. I have used various HD clips of her appearances to approximate what her hair would smell like, and recreated it in incense form with household items. Last time she tried to drive and go see her werewolf friend, I messed up the inside of her truck so she couldn't go anywhere.

Sometimes, I think that if I could put it back on her without hurting her, I would just try to wear her skin.

Sunny is a surprisingly great singer and her on-screen persona is very likeable.
She also has quite the hot booty, but most small idols have that, no ?
So I guess it's a win-win situation.

I noticed her right away when I was watching SNSD videos, despite the fact she only gets like 4 seconds of screen time and maybe one or two lines. I convinced myself that her one line was better than the other ones, as well, so I started seeking out videos of her singing solo songs. Luckily, she actually is one of the better singers of SNSD, so it made me all very happy. I became a really big fan when I watched the MTV series that introduced each member. She just stood out as the funniest and cutest member.

And speaking of which, youtube links! 1, 2, 3. Her appearances in the other episodes (especially SouYoung, who got 2 episodes) were really good too.

Anyway, her IY appearances are always great

Also, she was the only one with wavy hair at some point, I think? Wavy hair is like totally a thing for me.

To be serious, I actually did notice her in group videos first, specifically the Run Devil Run MV. I had stereotyped SNSD as being a bunch of weird clones and she stood out. (Her Run Devil Run styling was really good and is probably my favorite to this day.)

Then the BBS roped me into watching Invincible Youth. I think we all know how that goes. She grabbed that chicken and it was over.

She is essentially the reason I don't hate SNSD anymore. Thanks for making me a sheeple, Sunny.

I love Sunny to bits, I started liking SNSD about...oh like 6 months ago? Quite recently, and she really stood out of the videos, she has such a cute face. Her voice is lovely and she immediately became my favourite after seeing some awesome clips of her on youtube and just generally her cuteness and personality. She's so gorgeous!

Then decided to watch other videos and listen to the other songs.

OMG, at first she was my fav just cause she reminded me of Noria (hyper, cute! OMG!! kinda moments)
Asked a friend what her name way (cause i knew nothing about SNSD, in fact she's still the only member i can recognized without problems, this can happen for awhile (take me a while to learn the group) for a few months i used to mistake Risa for Eri and Eri and Risa)

Looked up SNSD Sunny on youtube, and !!! she's soooo adorable.

This thread needs revival. For me, Sunny is to SNSD what Aibon was to H!P and Sae to AKB48. I don't know how true it is, but if the groups didn't have these members in them, I reckon I wouldn't have fallen for them the way I have. She is absolutely ADORABLE.

I know a huge SNSD fan who goes to the college I go to. He's like, 31 or something, and by chance I found out he is more obsessed with SNSD then I am. Anyway, I started calling him OPPA in the way that Sunny does, pissing the other members off. You know, just for a laugh. Turns out he liked it, which was weird... Anyway, it's kinda turned into our thing somehow, I even forget how weird it must look to have me shout out "OPPAAAA" across the campus as a greeting haha.

I suppose you're right, it's just that I feel a bit strange being all BAWWW POOR SUNNY as if I know her personally.

Their schedules are absolutely nuts. I couldn't do it. I get genuinely annoyed when people claim that idols being overworked is a myth, because anyone with half a brain can look at their activities and see that those girls don't sleep. MY AVATAR, IT IS FITTING.
