It's great that Buono's having an actual concert outside of Japan, and I hope it goes well enough that other groups do the same.

I think me and aine will go......
I don't like Buono enough to take a day off for it though. Will be a short weekend in Paris!

Oh yeah, and I'm SO MAKING A BLOG!PROJECT/PH/BBS SHIRT FOR THIS. That says, "yeah, bow to me, I'm the admin." or some such. :weeeh: Pucchi can volunteer to make it if he feels like. Without the "I'm admin" part of course! :hahaha: Hey, it would be a good idea to have a members/staff shirt and a shirt for other people that want to wear it. We can advertise them on the other sites. Does it sound like a really bad idea?

I'm wondering why they send a group like Buono to Europe, but not the big ones...

Maybe they felt bad that Buono never got to go to Sweden? Going to the website that they are playing at, it looks interesting. I love the graphics. :D

I may go to this considering I will already be in Paris for the Kpop fest, but I will see how much the tickets are first. If they are over 40 euro, then I am out.

I think they invited Bunon! because they literally kick ass live, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a demand for them.

If there is one H!P group you have to see live it's buono!, what they are on the records vs. live is incomprehensibly different.

but if they don't have a live band then I'll be dissapoint

The announcement is on their youtube channel. It was a surprise, handed to Momo during the middle of an event and Airi absolutely freaked out. She was running in circles and bouncing all over the stage. The girl is such an adorable spaz.

Definitely going, after they rocked me with the Rock'n'Buono streams and the Partenza album. :wota: I'm so glad it's a stand-alone event, I could not stand going to Japan Expo and having to deal with their bs organisation for the third time.

Oh and we had plans to print t-shirts for the MM concert last year, but that fell through due to lack of time and planning. Still waiting volunteers to create a design!

So, did anyone go? I demand a writeup and pics, so I know just HOW much to hate you. Because I already hate you and curse you and your bastard progeny to the 10th generation for missing out on that gig exactly when my love for Buono! is growing at exponential rate. :dammit: :dammit: :dammit: :geof: :geof: :geof:

A small report,

Got the bullet train to Paris on Saturday afternoon and arr. 19:00 in the hotel maybe 400 metres from the moulin rouge, where the concert was held.

Met up with 3 other dutchies who were also staying in the same hotel.
After a big breakfast we checked the Moulin and there were already 60 people waiting .
So we decide to stay there as wel .
Tempeatures were below 0. So to keep warm we went to burger restaurant/piss-poop in hotel and the others holding our positions and vice-versa.

I think on 14:00 Buono arrived in a small van .
They let us in at 1700 and we were in row 5 :danceman:

They showed on a big screen the latest HP P.V.'s and Concert started on 18:00 with

Hatsukoi Cider
We are Buono
Nakushima Shonen
MC with nolife person [same as MM paris]
Rottaru rottaru
Honto no Jibun
Kokoro no tamago
Minna daisuki
kiss kiss
MC
Independent girl
Deep mind
Juicy heart
Bravo-bravo
Renai rider
Warp
MC
Rock no Kamisama

and no encore
because they also had to do a signing session after the concert for the lucky 200.

After the concert we grabbed a few burgers and at 2100 we decided to go to the Moulin Rouge exit to take a look when they were leaving.

There were maybe 40 people, so we were just standing there and Buono and staff walked to the car.

There were 12 Japanese wota's standing a little bit forlorn and they joined us for a Afterparty with a few HO online members in the Australian pub.

The sound in the Moulin was shitty but we had a great weekend in Paris.

I took the bullet train on sunday together with my sister who isn't into Japanese music. After checking in at the hotel we went to the line around half past 3. The line was already pretty long around the corner and up the hill. There was such a long line of people that sometimes people came to ask what everyone was waiting for. After getting in we walked past the long merchandise line and saw that the pit in front of the stage was already pretty full. The big screen was playing Smileage's latest single and the crowd was having a good time singing along. Before the entrance to the concert room they handed out free glowsticks, which was awesome (me and my sister each got three :jam: ). I found a great spot on the side where I could lean on the railing with my taller sister standing behind me, but then I let someone shorter in front of me and I spent the entire concert bendy-leaning against a pillar over a humongous, huge-ass luggage someone had put in the path. I was stiff after the concert but I had a great view of the whole stage and good sound.

There was no live band which was a bit dissappointing, but the girls sounded great. All three of them are such amazing performers. They sound consistently great even while dancing. Compared to Morning Musume where there's a pretty big difference in performance skills, with Buono they are all top level. They looked great as well, of course, though I couldn't help notice that compared to the other two, Momoko has zero sex-appeal, haha :sideways: . The concert felt a bit short. There was a encore call that went on for a long time. Then the lights went on and a lady came out saying: "The concert is over! Go away!", which wasn't very nice. People booed a bit. Compared to the tour they are doing now in Japan, they cut the medley, the solos and all of the slow songs (what's up with that?). I would much rather they had a longer concert instead of the signing session at the end which was only open for a select group (lucky bastards! :dammit: ).

After the concert we went back to the hotel. My sister said she thought they were really good and that she had a good time which made me happy :weeeh: She liked Miyabi's singing. I love all three of them and would gladly make the trip again if they ever return to Europe.

I was a little surprised when I read the setlist and also saw that there was no encore. You'd think after dragging them all the way to France (to perform in an actual famous venue, no less) the least logical thing to do would be to shorten the concert. Unless it was some restriction imposed by the venue...

I imagine it was all time constrained to fit in the signing.

But, yeah, after going to so many concerts in Japan, I expect an encore regardless of who it is. Or at least let them come out onto the stage afterwards for a final farewell message.

So they screwed the concert to do a signing....

wait... now just go with me on this one.

1. Fuck the signing.

2. Do an Encore and make everyone in the place happy.

It's obvious that nobody can please everyone all of the time but surely they should be aiming to please the majority over the minority.

I've already heard 3 different stories of this concert where Buono! fans went with people who weren't into Japanese music, what an opportunity! That one person who tells 5 people, who go on youtube and see the fancam we just saw, they each tell 5 people etc etc etc

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to be the opposite of common sense to do a signing and cause some negativity after the concert.

Well I'm glad y'all had your fun. :hmph:

Few questions:

No Partenza, seriously? I'd feel disappointed.
How many people total do you estimate were there?
How did you get to the signing? Lottery, first 200 bought tickets, something else?

No encore is silly, it's not like they had to scramble to pack their mics and rush to catch the evening flight back to Japan. :whatthe:

The concert felt a bit short. There was a encore call that went on for a long time. Then the lights went on and a lady came out saying: "The concert is over! Go away!", which wasn't very nice.

After the disgusting failure that the Japan Expo with MM was, I expect nothing better from the French organizers. :geof:

Yeah, good job giving the tickets out to the non-believers and making the dedicated fans miss the event. :hmph:

I didn't mind since I like all of Buono's music. I just wish they did more songs in general.

How many people total do you estimate were there?

I heard 800 tickets were sold. The Japanese media says there were 1000 fans. It wasn't a very big place and it seemed over-packed.

How did you get to the signing? Lottery, first 200 bought tickets, something else?

Everyone who bought tickets to the concert got an email saying registration for the signing session would open on the website on a specific time and the first 100 people who registered got to go. As you can expect the website was overloaded and unaccessible for most people. I reloaded the page for about 20 minutes till I got a message saying registration was full. There was also a signing session the day before, but I have no idea how people knew about it and registered for it.

Dawwwww, I already traveled alone for Morning Musume. It's much more fun traveling with some company.
