Kanyon CENTER!! :kanonechi:

:wota: :wota: :wota:

She's going to be the Maimi of S/mileage and benefit from a graduation, isn't she?

Those outfits are an abomination though, so disappointing after PMS Post Woman's adorable costumes! These aren't cute in the least and they look Party City cheap, what a disappointment.

I'm kind of shocked to see news of a new single before the release of the previous one. They're really pushing Yuuka out the door...

I hate Mei's bangs.

I love them! But Kanana's right, the Frida Kahlo thing isn't working well for her.

I just noticed the friggin' shoes. They are just heels covers with velvet slip covers. GROSS. You can particularly see their unfortunateness in this picture. Even though the shoes are offensive, I don't mind the dresses as much though. I agree though. No where near as cute as PW's outfits.

I hate Mei's bangs.

Sad to say this because I really like Meimi but I agree. :cryalot: Please grow them back out.

They're actually the first thing I noticed. They look terribly cheap, I'm surprised they didn't tear apart on the pavement (or 'pavement').

I dread for those poor girls to dance in them for all of their performances. The PV, too. :whatthe:

It's funny how S/mileage has pumped out the singles this year and it looks like they will next year too, but it's starting to be eons between Berryz and C-ute singles. >.>

That said, apart from the shoes, they all look very cute on these covers.

Also, they sorta remind me of Momoiro Clover more then anything H!P related.

I'm sad they didn't release another album so we could get more songs with Yuuka before she left... But I guess there wasn't enough time to train the newbies and make a new album...
They should have made Post Woman an album song with a PV.

Well, covers before the single other single is even out.. Weird.
The outfits don't look the best but they are nice on them. Meimi is rocking the bangs! They look cute on her.

They are like Onna To Otoko No Lullaby Game's, but much better fabric. I'm kind of torn on the shoes, if they didn't have the wrinkles, I would love them (with this outfit). And Meimi's bangs kind of remind me of JunJun's ^_^

"PMS Post Woman" how did I not notice that? :lmfao:

They look like an actual cohesive group again.

I like how Chun-Li appears in the upper right corner of the regular edition cover.
I also like the "wait a minute" HAND in the exclamation of the title.

There's something weird about the shoes, they look like plush toys.

I wish Yuuka waited until the 2nd album was released to leave too. The outfits remind me of Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game and Sekaiichi HAPPY na Onna no Ko(The colors not the look).

The speed in which this was announced and the covers released I am not surprised the outfits are not as creative or original as Please Mini-Skirt Postwoman. I

think it is to warm the fans up the the idea of Yuuka's absence from the group. I hate the heel covers also. It makes them look like the cheap shoes you buy at

the clothing store, the rolled up ones you put on after a night of partying. Even though it is not the best I still like the velvet look of the dresses. : ) I

hope this song is good. I think the bangs makes Meimei look bad. They could have let her keep the pig-tails. I loved them on her. Reina almost always gets her

matching bow and/or pony-tail(s). Does anyone else notice the Koi ni Booing Buu!-like hats? They're cute in a make-up puff sort of way.

I wish Cinderella waited until the 2nd album was released to leave too.

Whaaat, Kanon's not leaving, is she? You mean Yuuka? Ahahaha, don't scare me like that! :wheely:

They're probably just releasing a really cheap single and PV to test the waters to see how well a Yuuka-less S/mileage sells before dumping a bunch of money into a single that might flop without the old front girl.
It would be ironic, though, if BECAUSE of the horribly low budget and unimpressive image, this single flops because of that business strategy.
If this is the case, this kind of half-boiled plan wouldn't shock me from UFA. :popper:

I hope they don't take any short cuts with the PV.

Whoa, somehow the bangs have also made Meimi look crazy. I apologize to the H!P gods for wishing for bangs for her, clearly I was gravely mistaken in thinking they would be a good idea.

I actually don't think these covers or costumes are cheap at all. They lack creativity for sure, since they look way too similar to Onna to Otoko, but hey. They're wearing costumes that are custom made, and that costs money. The shoes remind me of Seramyu, where they used to always have those slip on shoe covers to make boots. Lame, but oh well. I don't think H!P costumes say anything about the budget for the PV or the quality of the song. See: Koi no Dance Site and RR21.

I feel like the regular edition cover is a self reference to this, which is pretty cute.

I think it's the eyebrows, and one is caused to think they slapped Yuuka's hairstyle on her for consolation. With eyebrows and a facial shape like hers, it's no wonder that a hairstyle that looked good on someone else will look terrible on another person, you know? This is all speculation, but her stylist should focus more on her own rather unique facial shape and style accordingly.

I don't think H!P costumes say anything about the budget for the PV or the quality of the song. See: Koi no Dance Site and RR21.

Aw, I loved the RR21 costumes! The disco ones were cheap but they were fun and imaginative and tastefully colourful. The PVC outfits were great, though, they all looked really cool from the main outfit to the spiky hairstyles to the, um, visor thing on Yaguchi. It was fun and edgy for an idol group, and the new S/mileage outfits aren't nearly as eyecatching or fun as either of RR21's sets.

I have no defense for Koi no Dance Site, though.

this

This made me frown a bit because quality-wise, there's no comparison. So much love for Sakitty with the random hoagie!

I was referring only to the outfits on the single cover, since that's all we have to look at for S/mileage. Giant fake fur (in pastel-vomit on Kaori and Mari), the cowboy hat on Kei, the Bruce Lee pants on Kaori? Imaginative is one way to put it. But it turned out that lots of people liked the PV and song, so the outfits weren't much of an indicator of anything. As for the colors, they're the same ones on the S/mileage cover, so wouldn't you call these tastefully colorful as well? They make sense anyway, being member colors.

I never realized how goofy-looking Meimi was until just now...

Kudos for Kana being (in my humble opinion) the cutest one on the covers! She's pulling a Zukki here in the sense that she's making the best of what little bit she has to work with.

I don't think I'll be buying S/mileage's singles anymore. Just looking at the picture of the picture of the 6 of them is weird, it's not S/mileage anymore. Well, that's enough bitter ranting from me.

The song is okay :/ I don't really like it though right now. The high notes were not done very well in the live, so I hope they sound better on the recorded track. Yuuka's voice really affected how the group sounded as a whole as well, and without her, they sound more deep :/
Just feeling so meh and bitter about this whole thing *goes and cries in the corner for the millionth time while listening to ama no jaku*

It is! Yuuka made them sound so much cuter!!
H!P already has deep sounding groups, S/mileage doesn't need to be one of them...

You say that like it's somehow the current members fault that Saki and Yuuka decided to leave.... I've liked S/mileage forever and it kinda sucks what happened, but things change and we can only just enjoy what we have NOW, rather than being bitter about what we used to have.

On topic... those outfits seem familiar Posted Image

I wanted to see who got what colours...

Linlin Yellow -
Risa Green - MeiMei
Reina Blue - DAWA
Ai Red - Take-chan
Eri Orange - RinaPuu
Sayumi Pink -
Aika Purple - Kanyon
JunJun  Light Blue - Kananan

-----

So Saki Yellow and Yuuka pink? :whistling:

I never noticed how obnoxious S/mileage nicknames were, collectively.

The song sounds interesting from the live recording. I'm kind of reminded of the type of songs that W had. There's a sort of retro feeling at times, while being new.

I still can't figure out S/mileage's chotomate. Everyone is romanizing it that way.

Yup, the katakana on the covers reads "Choto Mate Kudasai." No idea why they chose to write it that way, but that's what it says.

There's a famous song with the title written the normal way, so maybe it was to distinguish the two. (just like the capitalization differences between BOOWY & MM's "ONLY YOU" singles)

Original: ちょっとまってください Sam Kapu version

Chotto Matte Kudasai (Never Say Goodbye)The Sandpipers version
Probably has a rhyming subtitle because it's easier for Westerners to say.

チョット・マッテ・クダサイ Golden Half version

Maybe there's some sort of goofy pun to write it as one word, because it's in katakana and it's all attached. Maybe it's so urgent that they get your attention with the phrase チョトマテクダサイ! that they didn't have time to type the spaces between the word, or change the title to hiragana. :hahaha: The most likely explanation is that this was one of the few remaining ways to write the title.

it kinda sucks what happened, but things change and we can only just enjoy what we have NOW, rather than being bitter about what we used to have...
