They really want to push her, huh. Well, better now than after Mizuki had her well deserved break.

Yeah, they're going harder with Kiki than I thought they would, but she's pulling it off better than I thought, too. The real test will be her first original single, though.

I'm really curious to see how they handle Fuku. The one solo song she got was underwhelming, but I didn't think that song was a great choice for her. I honestly don't know what would be a great choice for her, though. Probably light pop for the most part. Who knows, maybe she surprises me like Kiki has so far.

Fukumura is going the Sayumi route. She’ll be MIA for a while and then come back and do whatever she pleases. She doesn’t need to do what the younger girls are doing. She may not even decide to go solo. It will be interesting to see what she ends up doing.

Fair, she really doesn't have to do anything. Girl has been in Morning Musume for a decade, and in leading positions for a good part of that. And she's from a rich family so she has a lot of support. Maybe she can actually try out other things, maybe even going into voice acting, or more theater, or maybe pick up some creative hobby.

Hello!Project Tenure is like any job. You put in the ten+ years that means you can pick and choose what you do. Heck Risako did squat but run a social media account and get married and yet she was still an “active” member for years.

AiGaki will have a live next year February 18! The title sounds pretty good.

I don't remember that, either. It's a pretty nice version, especially that last chorus. Not sure why dude's voice is so buried in the mix, though.

From Fuku's penultimate concert, "Shabondama" with Kei, Mari, Rika, Tsuji, Ai-butt, Sayumi and Reina.

Tsuji and Mari sound like they haven't sung in ages, lol.

I thought it was interesting seeing Kei in there instead of Nacchi. Guess she needed more lines.

"Souda! We're ALIVE" with Nacchi, Kei, Mari, Rika, Nono, Ai-butt, Sayumi, Reina, Eripon, Daishi, Oda and Nonaka. This is actually really good. I mean, everyone sounds good here.

And speaking of the OGs:

Is it common for OCD to either develop or go undiagnosed until one's mid 30s? Anyway, I hope Sayu gets it under control.

The new episode of M-line Music includes an Avenger trio of Karin, Manakan and Ruru doing "Love Like Crazy."

Remember being on pins and needles when Ruru was about to sing one of her big lines or fakes after Sayuki left? Yeah, not anymore. She elevates every song she sings, and does so with seemingly little effort.

As someone who just hit 40. Yes. You can get diagnosed at any age because what you were once able to think you could control and brush off, becomes much more apparent.

I never realized I had severe anxiety until something in my life altered me to unmask something I realized I’d been trying to control for years. Something must have happened in her life for it to become very apparent that she needed to seek help for it.

It’s amazing what you can uncover about yourself once you start talking to people who understand how things like anxiety, depression, ocd etc, work.

This slipped under our collective radar somehow: an M-line trio of Karin, Risamaru and Maa-chan released a new song last month, "Suppin." It's a digital release, and while it's not hot fire, it's kinda catchy.

There's a live performance of it on the latest M-line Music:

Poor Risa gotta be up there with two of the most charismatic idols UF has ever produced

Oh wow, I really have never heard of this.

So apparently Murotan was still with her agency, but now left them and seems to end her career, if I read it correctly.

Of all the behind-the-scenes H!P stories that I'd love to be privy to, the events motivating Murotan to graduate is right near the top of the list. I feel bad for her, but her chances at succeeding outside of UF were always infinitesimally small. Completely changing her image from the get go was probably not helpful, either.

I lowkey lost my mind at this yesterday. But then I realized it's not under H!P.
To be honest, looking forward to it nevertheless. I guess it will be a one-time thing but it would be interesting to see.

Riho's new video "Hi(gh) Life" dropped on YT yesterday.

This doesn't really hit me all that hard, which is how her catalog has trended since her solo debut.

High-King revival with OGs Miyamoto Karin, Ogata Risa, Sato Masaki, Inaba Manaka and Ozeki Mai:

As far as I get it their name will be - rather uncreatively - SIOOM. They cover Cinderella Complex for a drama of the same name.

Here's a trailer to the drama with the song as BGM.

Not my favorite song, but I love that M-line is getting a gig like this, and I would LOVE if this would become at least a semi-permanent group, because it's awesome. Shit, given how thin H!P's release schedule is now, they could compete directly with H!P groups if UF wanted them to. Two songs per year for a group made up of two H!P legends, two of the more popular 2nd stringers and Risa? This group would move 50K+ units easy if the tunes were good.

Man, I hope Ozeki gets good songs as opposed to 3rd-tier off-the-rack mid-tempo snoozers, because I really dig her voice. It's hard to tell how UF is gonna handle new M-line girls, especially when they weren't A-listers in H!P.

And damn, I hope Yuka recovers alright. Anything related to the spine is dicey af.

The new m-line is going to be super interesting. They probably want to push Kiki as much as they can, but I can't see them doing the same for Riko. I guess in the end it also depends on what the girls want. Ozeko definitely worked towards a career in the last few years and I hope they give her something to work with.
