What the hell is Reina doing at an elementary school at midnight?

Does anyone know what the Japanese fans think of the name? It sounds/looks awkward to us English speakers, but maybe they like it or something.

Their blog only calls them S/mileage new members (スマイレージ新メンバー), I don't know if I've ever heard them being called 2nd generation.

So it's pronounced "lavender" (ラベンダー). When I first saw it I was thinking something like "love Endor".

Regarding the social media department, the "OFFICIAL MORNING MUSUME。TWITTER ACCOUNT!" still has a pic from Maji Desu ka Ska as their profile picture, so clearly they're on the top of their game.

Haruna says it's because they're 10th gen., plus lucky 7 (all of their birthdays end in a 7).

It doesn't make much sense financially. They'd make more money with two graduation tours rather than one tour with two graduations.

This is one of those weird cases where I think everyone looks great on every cover...and yet I don't like any of them. And those skyscrapers in the background make me think they were supposed to be used for The Matenrou Show but they couldn't figure out how to incorporate them.

Have the new girls said who their musical influences are? Maybe that could help people choose a name for them.

I agree about the text-only version. With text I can read it at my own pace, whereas with videos I find that I have to stop everything else I'm doing and give it my undivided attention.

I haven't seen the DVD interviews, but judging from the screencaps you posted I'm assuming they're the same as the ones uploaded to Youtube?
