Re: Melon Kinenbi - Melon Tea PV

I'm so glad to see my girls going strong, especially since they're the only part of HP I still give a damn about (outside of Sayumi's TV antics). And just think about how rare they are in the Japanese music world: a girl group that's been together for over 10 years without a single roster change. I'...

Re: What are you playing?

I've played through Bayonetta a few times now and while it's hella fun, it's not the second coming of action games to me. For pure play control I still say the Ninja Gaiden games have it beat, but as a total package, Bayonetta is quality. I see a lot of people dismissing it after an hour or two of p...

Re: Movies

See Avatar in 3D at least. If you turn your brain off, it's not terrible, and the use of 3D is pretty much the whole reason for the movie to exist. If you can't do that, then there's no need to even bother with it on DVD. Either that, or just skip to the final half hour where it's nothing but insane...

If anyone wants to play the new Borderlands expansion on 360, let me know. I could use some arena buddies.

Re: Movies

I was expecting to hate Avatar, but it wasn't too bad. I would probably have edited about 45 minutes out of it though. Sadly, I was expecting to love Sherlock Holmes, but I didn't. I Downey's my man, and his acting elevated the movie from "meh" to "okay," but nothing else worked ...

Re: What are you playing?

The good thing about having a Japanese 360 is that now virtually every new title in the US region plays on a Japanese system. It's looking like NTSC plays on J-NTSC no problem, but not vice versa.

Wow, this is a boring as hell lineup. If they had any actual sense at all, they would have brought in the K-on seiyuu to perform, considering just how huge their singles and CD were.

Massage places are everywhere in Japan, with most being similar to the places you can find in malls these day. However, this one takes it to the next level.

Re: What are you playing?

I'm not sure what you mean. Yes, the actual walking is a bit plodding since they wanted the character to have some "weight" and I had to jack up the aim sensitivity, but all the other controls are standard FPS fare that's instinctive to me by now. The level design is completely linear sinc...

Re: What are you playing?

To each their own, I guess. I've sunk 60 hours into Dragon Age already and still ready for more. I imagine it'll keep me busy until Left 4 Dead 2 next week.

As for Bayonetta, I imagine I'll get it, but what exactly sets it apart from the DMC games other than a different main character?

My favorite shows on at the moment are Supernatural (the last episode was amazing. you owe it to yourself to watch it if you're a fan of classic TV), It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and, dare I say, iCarly (one of the best, wackiest damn sitcoms on TV in years, "kids show" be damned). W...

Re: Battlestar Galactica

The Plan was so damn good, one of the best "episodes" of the series. It went places I didn't expect it to, and added a lot to the Cylons that didn't really stand out in the series, such as the Simons. Dean Stockwell is always awesome, but he was badass here. Also, lots of nekkid people.

As a 48 Hunter, I recommend you train up the rogue tree. Once your birdy can stun enemies, they become so slow that a sniper rifle head shot is guaranteed.

I'm loving Borderlands. It's a perfect mix of shooting and RPG elements with co-op that takes its cues from Phantasy Star Online set in a world that's basically Fallout's quirky brother with ADD.

Wow, I just feel sorry for your joyless existence. Please tell me what action adventure game is better than Uncharted 2, especially because you must have at least played it enough to see it do shit that no game technology has ever done before. Hating on it for being a PS3 exclusive is just petty. If...

Re: What are you playing?

Finished my first play through of Uncharted 2 and started directly into the second. Amazing game. Probably the highest production quality I've seen in a game since MGS4. It'll without a doubt take a number of Game of the Year awards, especially on the PS3 specific ones.

Re: What are you playing?

Only 7 chapters in, but Uncharted 2 is as good as advertised. It's what the Tomb Raider series should have always been, and what the last Indiana Jones movie should have been as well. Nathan Drake is still the lovable, smarmy, buttmonkey that made him great in the first game.

Re: Movies

Normally I avoid any movie with vampires that isn't specifically about killing them since Anne Rice turned them into butt-plugging emos all those years ago, but I just watched a great Swedish movie called Let the Right One In that told a great vampire story without all the faggotry that's been piled...
