I am way late seeing this, but I had a very brief Anne Rice phase as a teenager and Anne absolutely killed it with her bull. I didn't like Lestat either, and by the time I had gone through several of her books I found that Interview and Queen of the Damned were the only two I remotely enjoyed.

Whatever the plot, I love the fight scenes. But Donnie Yen gets points because his movies usually have better plots/acting than the others. And his fight choreography...superb!
