Kosuga Fuyuka has severe anemia

Is a new member of S/mileage "leaving" big enough to have it's own thread?



The girl of 6 kanji, Kosuga, will be leaving due to a diagnosis of severe anemia. She is not to do strenuous activity as she will require many months of treatment. For now they will take away her sub-member status so she can concentrate on complete recovery. After she gets better she will start again as an Egg.



It sounds harsh, but I guess they think this way is better than having her nebulously be part of a group while recuperating (like Aika or something). Also, I guess, since she was barely a member, when she gets better she can get her legs back as an Egg rather than immediately pushed back into the group. Does that mean she'll be able to come back to S/mileage? Who knows. But Tsunku now calls the rebirth of S/mileage as 3 members and 4 sub-members.



At least she was in a single?

Oh, aren't people going to be happy about this? I've read that people don't like her as she didn't really "fit" the S/mileage image. (And that her voice was bad)

I don't know her, so I can't say if she's a loss or not, but this IS a very convenient way of throwing somebody out of the group.

#11 rob seems like a cool guy, but he's even more absolute with his opinion than me. It also doesn't help that he can't voice his opinion about idols in rl.

I hope Fu-chan gets better. I didn't like her at first, but she grew on me over time.



Also, I'm with Rob. Takeuchi is my favorite of the S/Mileage submembers. She's so good she makes it look effortless.

What exactly is ugly about her? I think she looks beautiful. I just watched Suma's new single promotion in Sakigake and she made the biggest impression on me out of all the noobs. I love that she's frenetic and super sensitive. She's fun to watch.

Meanwhile, what is with all of the health issues in H!P lately? It seems to have started with appendicitis, then leg injuries, then atopic dermatitis, then more (disruptive) leg injuries, sciatica, anemia... Am I missing anything, here??



I'd heard of smaller injuries such as (more manageable, it seems) leg injuries and bone breakages, burns, etc... But it seems rather extreme, lately. Bad luck? Were they just better at hiding issues from the public in the past?
