Are there any plans to translate the posts that have been made about Kago? Just for curiosity's sake.

Berry - is there a way to modify the plug-in that auto copy/pastes? Mano mostly posts once a day but every morning I will see 5 entries. It seems it is copying the 5 most recent, each morning, even if I've finished them.



It isn't a big deal but it is a bit confusing. I think I accidentally delete a bunch of new ones.

Sorry, but I don't think I'm capable of editing the plugin to do that. Zaeleus said he's too busy to do it. aine said he would try to build a new plugin from scratch, but I don't know when/if he will get to it. Not asking anyone in the community because aine said they might hinder his work or something. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hahaha:' />

Also...just as an fyi, my translations might drop off for the next few weeks as I get acclimated. Going to Japan pretty soon but also need to take some last minute trips for family stuff. I am fairly confident I can still keep up translations though.

In this case, they don't really say much. Tsuji's just says she heard about it and she's worried and hopes Kago gets better soon, Tsunku says the same thing and adds that he was curious about what she was up to a few months ago and he tried to text her, but she'd changed her phone mail address so it didn't go through. Were there any others?



On this note though, is there some way for us to do some "guest" blog translations during major events? Like some sort of category for one-time special occasion translations of blogs we don't normally cover?

I want to make separate categories for them. I'm guessing it will be less hassle in the end if they become super popular members and deserve their own category.

Context: Takeuchi is talking about her favorite phrases, of 『決意と実行』 and 『負けて泣くなら勝って泣け』. I've loosely translated those as "Decide and take action" and "Cry after you win." So, she's explaining why those are her favorite words.

Well, in the case, yes. Someone direct me and tell me what the category should be called. And what kind of icon. I'm guessing the colors will be like the News category.



I mean Guest is an alright name, but maybe a different name that suggests what the category is right away?

Or should we name post titles like "HEY GUYS (Tsunku)"? "I'm cute (Katsura Rina)"?

This is fine as long as you promise to not post too many guest posts that warrants it's own category.



Edit: I forgot. There's also subcategories and you can select more than 1 category on a post. That means you could select Tsunku and Guest as the category. But on the sidebar, you will have to find the post via Guest category. I think this is better. But can someone check if authors can make their own categories?

I think we should put these under NEWS. We are only translating random posts because we have news about it.

I actually would kind of like to have it separate from News, because I was thinking of using it in more varied instances. For example, one time Sayu wrote a post about hanging out with Satoda Mai and she said "check Mai's blog for more!" Well of course no one here translates Mai's blog so that's hard for our readers to do. But if we had a special Guest category, I could translate that one entry and link to it in my post.



So here are my suggestions to make things easier for Berry (any alternate suggestions of course welcome):

Category name: Special Translations...? I'm not good at coming up with names, sorry :(

Icon: Sun - one standard color, maybe orange since it seems generally unused by other groups.

Differentiation: I like Berry's idea of putting the name in the title ("Hello thar (Tsunku)")



I don't know if this is possible, but you know how right now when you go to the main page, there's a blurb up top that explains what blog! project is? We could maybe add something like that at the top of the "Special Translations" (or whatever we call it) category page. Something like "This category includes translations of interesting or news-related posts from blogs we do not regularly translate."



Edit: Eri, regarding your two questions - the first one (Kanana) looks good. As for the second one... "テレビを見ている本数と" means "the number of tv shows I'm watching" but I'm not sure how to connect the overall sentence. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hatthe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatthe:' />

I see it reported that 4 people have died in Nagoya too - along with the evacuations announced yesterday, I'm worried about there too since it was kind of my home when I was there...

I can try to help out with Ai-chan's posts, but until yesterday she was doing a lot of fairly long Q&A posts to the extent she even burned herself out on them XD. I'm sure they would intimidate any translator <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> Even the regular H!O guy fell behind there, so I'm not sure anyone anywhere was translating them.



To begin with I can pick up from when she finished the Q&As yesterday, but it might take a while to catch up on those answer posts... Maybe that's something maize can help with if she pops up too ^^;



Though they're not totally pertinent to her graduation, it'd probably be nice to get them done eventually since people are interested in them.

^ I'm working on entries from the past couple of days (since her Q&As), so if you'd like to get started on those Q&As go ahead. I don't mind them either since they're interesting, but... there are just a LOT of them. XD I think for a couple days or so there she was doing about 10 posts a day.



I actually don't have a huge amount of time today, so I'll leave the Q&As to you for now... I can get back with you later to see how that's going.

It looks like what maiZe finished through 9/5, so I guess you can start there if you want too...

Edit: I got a response from maiZe. As she said before, she has started school again and the course is pretty busy so her translations will be pretty iffy from now on. kurikaesu.haru from H!O contacted me and Rob about doing some Ai-chan translations. Apparently Rob had approached her before, but she turned the offer down, and is now reconsidering it. I replied asking her to post in this thread, so hopefully we'll hear from her soon. :) I can't remember if Rob mentioned her in here, but I'd imagine he could vouch for her, and I think I can as well from seeing her around H!O a bit.



Not sure if she'd want to pick up full-time or not, but we'll find out if (when) she posts here. :)
