Here's hoping they drop the Morning and just call them Dream Musume because I find it totally unfair to the original Musume. I hope the 9th and 10th gen can kick it up a notch and try to bring some focus back to the original group.

Also, wouldn't take the paper releases as fact until it shows up on a site for sale. Same thing happened with the new MM single.

Ugh agreed (on the name). I predict that it will be a great song that properly showcases the talents of this particular group of girls, but they will waste it in favor of continuing to preform Love Machine/The Peace/Renai Revolution until the end of time.

Yeah I saw the paper release, and I never post them in favor of waiting for confirmation from official sources. That's a good rule of thumb for newer members of this BBS to learn. If it isn't on any of the websites listed at the top of the Release thread then it should be considered rumor.

I feel like that's a bit hopeful though. Competition is tough now with girl groups and COMBINED H!P only was able to sell 49,429. It seems true to not be worth it to group them together even if they do get more promotion.

I've read there are some people who were thinking about this.

But I personally don't see it happen since she's pretty much "fallen from grace" with UFA and would kinda interfer with her hiatus starting next year.

I've not really seen Maki's hiatus as a move to jump from avex. Yeah, her non-Sweet Black songs kinda sucked, but I don't think she's jumping ship. I don't know why she would; she got infinitely more creative control. UFA has UFA-wide-reaching fans, but that's also a niche.

I think Maki in DMM is wishful thinking on most people's parts. It wouldn't really make sense logistically...leave one agency, join another, then go back? This seems almost unheard of in Japanese music.



More likely, it's been long enough since Maki left that any possible butthurt on the part of UFA is probably faded. She didn't leave due to a scandal or anything, so they have no reason to blacklist her from events. On top of that, up until DMM, it wasn't like there were a whole lot of concerts for Maki to make appearances at, since most of the girls at were in MM during her time were fairly inactive musically. Now that they're all together it makes sense that she's coming around to see them and they're going to send her off.

The concert (from the blog post) seems to have been over 2.5 hours. Here's my best guess:

Disc 1: Main Concert

Disc 2: Encore+Short featurette (history or making-of)

Disc 3: Featurette (history, longer making-of, or alternative songs (if this was a tour))

OH, CDJ has some info. Will include unabridged a-nation performances from 2008-2011. That's probably Disc 3.



Edit 2: Arama is saying Disc 1 will hold the entire concert, and Disc 2 will be all backstage stuff, but their setlist is missing somg things from the blog post posted earlier. Plus, you can't get 2.5 hours on DVD. It will look awful.

But then again, it's avex...

Maki's just gone through so much shit in the last couple of years that she's obviously burned out and that's why she's taking a break. But it seems like she's really happy when she's been with the MM members lately, so being with that familiar group of mostly her age people might be therapeutic for her. Also, they HEAVILY promoted Maki in all the various HP blogs lately when she was on a few shows with them, including pictures. That's something management has to clear, which means UFA is totally cool with Maki.

I do not care that they only had a semi-live band. I do not care that their vocals were too low in the mix. I do not care that they changed the rhythm to the "Wow hold on me" line. I do not care that the arrangement had the structure an egg. I do not care that Koharu was there.
