Suugaku Joshi Gakuen

Post by Shoujo Q »

Suugaku Joshi Gakuen will be a drama staring Reina, Sayumi and a butt load of H!P and UFA girls, and then one guy. Drama starts on 1/11 on NTV.

Morning Musume's new single will be the opening to the drama and Buono's Cider song will be the ending.

A thread will be needed to contain such epicness and I'm surprised one hasn't been made already.

To give you something to talk about, a video! (Found on H!O)

Oh crap~ One of my 2012 predictions already came true~~~! (It was actually more like a 2012 wish to be honest~ <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/ssh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ssh:' /> )

- 9th and 10th gen babies get to star in a school girl drama together. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

[/quote]

Close enough. I'll take it!

What a stellar cast. And Meimi has no bangs so we can admire her adorableness without distraction for at least a little while.

I hope Hello Fansubs picks this up as a project. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

^Don't really count on that, given our own situations. A weekly is definitely a no-go.

Not too sure if any other H!P Fansub group is going to pick it up. But i passed a word to my buddy Rollins to see if he might want to softsub it if there aren't any other Drama's he's interested in/ more or less if he's up for it.

Will report back whenever I hear word from him.

No worries, bro. Someone will more than likely pick it up. H!F is just fave for multiple reasons. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/ssh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ssh:' />

If not I will enroll my best friend into watching it with me so she can help me thoroughly understand it.

In nearly a decade, that is the absolute cutest I've ever found Reina. Also, you have to love Alpha bitch Sayu.

And dem ending credits! Maasa pimp slapping everyone! Momochi tricycle race?!? This show is going to be nuts!

This looks pretty interesting. The opening made me appreciate PPU a little more. I wish they didn't have those lame chicken costumes.

Links are dead. Image Found new ones on H!O, watched the first half, but then the second half was dead. ImageImage Is this on a tracker somewhere!?

Standard Japanese Idol drama. But watching it is like whose who in UFA idol spotting. I miss H!P dramas! I hope this is successful enough in that they'll do more of them. I love crap like this man!

I downloaded it instead. Thanks to H!O need to have things NOW. It's easier to find stuff. :D

I wonder how this did? Considering it airs at like midnight close to 1AM makes me wonder if anyone actually stays up to watch stuff that late? Do Japanese people sleep? Image

Can't wait for the rest of the UFA idols to pop up next week. This episode was a big tease.

Someone should tell this blogger about this drama. I bet they would fangasm at the thought of H!P and Math in the same sentence.

Doesn't Hello Pro Time and most of it's predecessors come on after midnight? Pretty normal time slot for idol shows.

This show comes right after AKBingo! on NTV, which is AKB48's main TV program, so I figure it will probably do alright. They're probably hoping to win over some of AKB's fanbase. Not a bad idea.

I love the show so far. The acting is suprisingly good for an idol program. Sayu and Riho did suprisingly well in their roles. Not a huge Reina fan, but she does have a star quality here.

When I was in Tokyo last I was having a beer or two and noticed that H!P Time came on at like 2am or something crazy like that, after all the comedy and variety shows had finished.

Hey translators, if you could make a rough translation script and PM it to me within the next 24 hours (ok, 36 will do), then I promise I'll overdose on coffee and slap together a fansub by the end of the weekend. Little came out of our subbing with grand plans and preparations, so maybe an ad-hoc action will be more successful. Make sure to include translations of signs etc. I know 24-36 hours is tight, but if I don't finish my part before Sunday night it's gonna be too late because during the week I feel like doing nothing after work. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /ph34r.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> And then by the next weekend there will be 10 other subs out.

Apart from that, it was cheap and amateurish, but funny and understandable enough. It's not saving the opening song still, although it's a vast improvement over the PV. Reina is a better actress than I expected. If she ever says she's gonna pursue an acting career after graduating, it will be the first time I have believed such a statement. Sayu's acting is on par with her singing but I love her anyway. Did anyone else spot a Tsunku cameo?

Ah, disregard that then. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Unless their translation is really rubbish. I'd be doing a hardsub, but with the poor source and little time it wouldn't be anything jaw-dropping.

I think it's OK to sub if any translators are interested especially considering this person just posted the file in H!O's thread with a mediafire download. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Just depends if any translators don't mind re-translating it. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hahaha:' />

While that sub file hit all the main points, it screams of being written by a non-native English speaker, so there's definitely room for a smoother translation. Impressive that they did it so quick, but it needs a lot of editing.

Also, is that my Nanami in the ending credits?!? I thought she disappeared but it looks like she's back! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Karin's in there too!

And are Sayu's two hench-wenches anyone I should know?

Yeah, after reading through that file it is rubbish, certainly on the editing side. So I'm all up for doing a proper sub, as long as I get a usable script from one of our translators, like, SOON. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Looks to be both. Reina's character has/had an older sister who went to the school, became the top math wiz, and then disappeared. She figures if she goes to the same school and becomes the best, it might give her some insight into what happened.
