It's not very inspired story-wise, but I still like it. And everyone sounds great! Even Koharu toned down her anime voice! I really enjoyed Makoto and Kaori's lines in particular.



Takahashi's very short cameo was absolutely pointless, though.

The thing is, Japanese doesn't have plurals. メンバー can mean "member" or "memberS." Even if she said the 人数 (number of people) was increasing, that would still be ambiguous. So unless she said "We are gaining x number of new members" there's no way to tell. =/



My guess is that if this turned out to be true, it would be Tsuji. She was supposed to be in the group in the first place but then baby #2 happened. I reaaaally hope this has nothing to do with Ai/Risa/Eri.

I did some poking around on H!O and this is apparently the quote that said it? I wish I could find the exact recording though because this is all hear say until there's a source to back it up.

hey already said Shining Butterfly would be their first and last single. I think they also said when the group was formed that it was only intended to last about a year or so.

I am still hoping this is just a gimmick ( "DMM are gonna break up soon, buy all the singles you can!") to sell more copies of the single. Didn't Nakazawa say new members were going to be added to the group soon?

Well, I think I found it:



I downloaded the 1/7 episode of YoungTown. Yuko wasn't on the two episodes before, so I'm assuming this is the one people are talking about. Thank god Kikka is there, she balances out my hatred for Sanma.

Yuko: Until the 3/10 Budoukan concert.

Sanma: On 3/10, it's -

Yuko: It's not the end, but then we'll (I'll?) go on break. It's not that we're breaking up or anything.

Sanma: (blah blah) So after that what are you going to do?

Yuko: After that I'll do solo work.



It looks like they were talking more about what Yuko is going to do because of her marriage, not what the group is going to do. There's nothing about adding or changing members. There's one other section where Yuko tries to get Sanma to come to their Budoukan concert, saying he went to Ai-chan's last show. He objects and says this isn't their last or anything, and she agrees, but says it's still special.

It was clarified over on the Shining Butterfly thread that Yuko only mentioned that DMM would be taking a break, but that she didn't mention anything about new members.
