It still gets me every time that Mai is so young compared to the other members but she's already been there for 10 years.



On a semi-related note. Mini Mai and Kanon before she was awesome. It's super cute because Kanon is smaller then Mai, but she's a year older then her. Special appearance by Megumi and Yuuka (In the background.)

The current Eggs are having another concert soon. Their last one has the complete recording on Youtube but I have no idea who's voice is who's.



I'm also waiting to see which 10th gen finalists they pick up as Eggs. I'm sure they'll get one or two.

They were doing auditions for new trainees. They should be over soon right? At last by March I'm sure so we should see a whole lot of eggs. I predict a major scramble. ;D But what I'm really hoping for is either a new group, Karin's soloing or something else. H!P needs more drama. Like 2011 wasn't enough for me. I NEED MORE!

I just think a group would be better because she's so young. Her age will limit the amount of activities she can do, the soloists get less promotion, and I imagine that she'll start out young and maybe with upbeat songs and then she'll get older and they'll decide she needs to be mature. Which is just another word for boring.

So, there's a new website that's going to be selling H!P goods. AND you can shop online from your phone, in case you're ever at school or something and need to pass the time.



I wonder why they made a new site? Keep it cleaner, I suppose? It is kind of messy on the H!P site.



They're also releasing the Ribbon Reborn play on DVD. So those who enjoy the musicals (I never got into them) can watch it soon.

Speaking of Masaki. Saw this on the Sayunii Facebook page, not sure where it came from since it only says the Takamaruyo Forum. (Why don't people source better!) Of course I can't seem to find it. Oh well, story is cute anyway.

"Satou apparently packed a container full of snow and brought it back to Tokyo with her. Somewhere during the trip back, Satou checked the container and was shocked/saddened to find that all the snow had melted. Rihoriho says this shows how pure of a girl Satou is."

If they make an english page for that new H!P Goods website I'll be 100 times happier.

Although Masaki is one of my favorites in the current group, she is definitely starting to worry me.

It may or may not have even happened, say for example they ask Riho to tell a funny/cute story about a member 10mins before the show goes live... She knows Masaki is a little goofy sometimes and so the story comes out.

I can't imagine Masaki as a blonde. Other people I'd rather not give it a shot either are Zukki, Riho, or Ayumi. If Eripon's style continues to evolve into the colorful mess it has been lately, she might be able to pull it off. MAYBE Mizuki if she got the right shade. Maybe.



But let's discuss Radio Friday.



Haruka, Aika, and Mizuki were on a radio show and share something about each other. Haruka is a glutton, Aika obsessively takes pictures for her blog, and Mizuki makes bad puns.



Someone writes into Sayu and asks if she enjoyed the punishment game on the first Suugaku where a fan blows up on her skirt. She said she did enjoy it and it felt like being on stage since she was on a bunch of desks. They also replaced her close-up where she talks about the math battle leading up to the punishment with an anime depiction and that made her sad.



Riho's voice has healed from vocal overkill at the H!P concert, and she no longer sounds like an old man (which is apparently what Haruka sounds like). She likes to listen to the sound of rivers and alpha waves. Clearly, she is a grandma.



2011 is the year Reina got interested in acting. Some stuff about how hard it was taking over for Aika, blah. Mizuki told Risa not to be stupid during the rehearsals. Risa is shocked. Reina is pissed. Mizuki is scolded. Risa and Reina are both being pressured into learning how to cook.



Momo talks about having a bean ceremony for Buono! and then missing it. Everyone just took the beans home.



Apparently the Mano/Riho H!P Time was originally just supposed to be Mano, but the Momusu manager asked if Riho could tag along. But since Riho didn't know about it until it happened, she couldn't buy anything. She talks about straps for cellphones. Her's isn't fancy since it's a smartphone and she has a case for it. No surprise here, Eripon's is crazy. She has a kitty strap, 4 doll figures, and a ton of Risa straps. And she had to take it all off to get it into her bag.







Edit: And some more news on that new goods site, they'll be selling concert merchandise for those who can't go to the events in person. But English speaking fans can get that stuff at the USA store, so that's probably still the easiest thing to do. Especially since shipping is 12 dollars and will take a month, plus there's nothing about whether they ship overseas.

More than likely they don't ship overseas. But they accept credit cards, which means you could use Tenso. Depending on where you live and what currency you're under, buying direct from Japan may be a better deal (or work out about the same).



All I care about are SayuUsa goods, and they're going to be on the Japanese site. Though hopefully they bring them to the USA store too.

I recognize the potential that Aika has, the thing I'm pissed at is the fact she never takes a risk, she never puts her neck on the line, she sticks with the safe half singing half talking cute thing.

Her image is one of the cute innocent idol, it's safe... an image that would suit her is a bad ass biker chick and it would give momusu a new and interesting angle.

Right?! I personally thought she was pretty fierce in Egao YES Nude and Kana-blahblah Twilight. No friggin' clue about what the hell happened after that.

Management kind of forgot about her after Mikan since she never took off popularity-wise, and she resorted to being cute like everyone else was. Even Reina lost a lot of the edge she had in the beginning.



When you look at most groups, the front girl usually is someone who's pretty safe. They're almost never girls that stick out too much.



Edit: And speaking of girls losing their edge, hopefully Haruka manages to keep her nice little mix of adorable and badass forever.



I posted some clips from her FC event back in January. You might have liked the voice she used in Give Me Love, rob. When you can hear her anyway. Zukki was pretty loud.







Darklumina from H!O translated some of the dialogue from the Morning Labo event. Haruka dissed 9th gen:

Suzuki < this is the last day, so we 9ki will impress you with MM medley song (All 9ki singing I WISH in acapella)

Kudou < it was too long, and not funny at all

Masaki being dumb, Haruka being the pimp of the 9ki and 10ki members, zukki with the bug impressions, eripon's wackiness, riho and ayumi are the talented ones, leaving haruna and mizuki as the cute types.

My wish is for Mr. Moonlight to be retired for a spell. I can't see Reina pulling off singing it, nor Riho at this point, because you know they'd give the song to Riho.



Riho was vocally strained during the H!P Concert, I can only imagine what it will be like for her after the Morning Musume concert. I cringe a bit thinking about it the way they overtax the poor girl.
