I pretty much agree with all of this except the last statement. I'm not terribly happy they're around, but I don't mind. I just really can't get into them. I've listened to every song they've ever recorded and watched a few lives and interviews and such, and I still just can not like them, as hard as I may try. I guess I'll stick to Idoling!!!'s amazingness to get my non-AKB idol fix nowadays, since H!P and TNX have jumped the shark the last few years.

I love it, but I think I've loved every MomoClo song I've ever heard, so maybe I'm not the best judge. It's the new ending for Pokemon.

I keep meaning to download the solo songs but I forget. Are they worth it? I'm pretty much in a "MUGEN NO AI AYE SIR IS PRETTY MUCH THE BEST SONG EVER AND I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO ANOTHER MOMOIRO SONG EVER AGAIN" frame of mind now. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... smooch.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='=3=' />

I forgot to write about them when I got my copy in. Here are my thoughts, if it helps. Keep in mind I'm a huge MomoClo fan and my favorite member is Reni. My bias, is it showing? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' />



Ranked best to worst:



1. Reni's - She sounds really good in this, it's pleasant to listen to. Similar enka style as last year's, which is kind of fun in and of itself because it's so different for MomoClo.



2. Shiori's - She's easily the best singer of the group, and they always do a nice job of showcasing her talent + personality. This is really sweet and old school idol sounding.



3. Ayaka's - It's kind of funny but it's also kind of annoying. I didn't find it as super catchy as last year's. All of the fun here is in the lyrics, but for some reason the music just doesn't make me want to pay attention to them like last year's. For anyone who doesn't speak Japanese, it's kind of pointless.



4. Kanako's - I can't even remember how this goes. It just didn't stick with me, and I found her voice on the grating side here. She's doing more shout singing than she used to these days.



5. Momoka's - Even without having seen the brownface, I don't like it. It just irritates me for some reason.



Overall - Not as good as last year's, but worth a listen. I know Em-El liked them a lot more than me, so in the end I think it comes down to personal taste and favorites.

Actually the Pokemon song is the c-side or whatever you want to call the third track. Yes, "Push" is the b-side. I love all of the covers except the Pokemon one because I don't care about Pokemon. But I'm sad that Reni is small/in the background in all of them :(

When I first saw that it wasn't a Hyadain song, I was sad. But then I saw that Etsuko was the composer and that it was a seven minute song. This meant that the MomoClo people were letting her be her. She usually favors slow-build songs. This isn't my favorite of her songs as there's less build than I'd like. But her stuff is subtle, and I always hear more later. For now, though, there's no reason for me to give my opinion on the song, since it's MomoClo and I can't be not biased.

I'm not feeling this song at all. There's no reason for it to be that long. They could have cut out some of the choruses or verses, moved the break at 5:30ish earlier, and shaved this down to a normal length song without losing anything. There's no build at all, and even the break to the slow verse doesn't feel like that much of a break because the tempo of the rest of the song is pretty slow. The PV itself with all of the sets and different outfits is great, but they still could have included all of that with a shorter song. I do think the girls sound better overall in this one than they did in Moretsu - Kanako especially sounds much better. But Moretsu was still 10x better as a song because it was fun and memorable. =/

Long song is long. If it wasn't for the interesting video I wouldn't have lasted as long as I did. Even at the 5 minute mark I found myself fading. I don't think I'll ever find myself listening to that song ever. It's the one being used for the Pokemon movie right? If so, it'll fit in fine.
