Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
He's just trolling and trying to build hype. I bet you guys anything that it's just going to be the typical Dance Shot => Close up Ver. formula with MAYYYYBE some sort of Lip Ver.
A delay like this that doesn't involve complete trolling would HAVE to involve some sort of reshoot and lots of special effects and camera / editing techniques to make the entire video dynamic, as well as highlight how much is really going on throughout the song within the vocals and dance.
UFA isn't capable of the latter. Neither is Tsunku. Pretty sure "Chou HAPPY SONG" was his crowning achievement in creativity.
Side note: WHEN THE HELL DID I GET THIS NEGATIVE??

And what do you mean by a lip version? That sounds like a closeup version to me.

Lip version is the one where they all gather around the camera.
Example... the first result just happened to have spanish subtitles.

DAMN! Everyone there thought he was announcing that Saki was going to graduate!!
Can't wait to FINALLY see the MV.
I'm going to get my hopes up!!!

There are some pictures on Hello Online. It's going to be sparkly if the pictures are any evidence.

Wow, it took that long to add sparkles? And could Kanon have any less screentime? Fuck this. And Masaski needs to gtfo because she just irritates me, and Haruka is superior and should have had her parts.

OMG so much bling - it's like a floating tank of sparkles. But where are the lazers?!
Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
Sayumi looked like a life size doll and it made me go "damn you go girl".
Ponpon was flawless.
Everyone else was amaing as well. So glad they didn't wait to release the video.
Even though this obviously wasn't worth the time it took them to put it out I still love it and I thought I saw a lot of everyone. I feel the makeup makes more sense now that I have seen the video.

Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
I actually really like it! I watched it twice in a row :D It seems like when you are looking for a certain girl you notice how much time everyone gets in comparison to them In my case it was Eripon~ She needed more close ups D:
Masaki seems to be quite favored in this song, as well as Ayumi. I think Masaki needs to practice her facial expressions a bit more, but nontheless she was very cute. She had more lines than I thought.
I like when they are posing but it's a close up shot and their eyes look all cool and black and shiny.
I think it would have been even better if when they had the close up & doll/model shots they had had different outfits though.
The timing of Ayumi and Harunan's winks were really cute and made me smile
And when did Sayashi get such droopy eyes? Or something is going on with them at least. I noticed a more defined double eyelid in the close-ups. Maybe she was using eyelid tape? She kind of reminds me of Perfume's Kashiyuka here.

Da FUQ are some of the stupid faces Masaki is making. Lip sync properly dammit! It's an alright PV but yeah, too little Zukki, even Masaki got more screen time than her, the fuck is up with that.

MY EEEYES. It's so flippin' bright!
I feel like I'm watching that banned Pikachu scene.
Also, holy exposure Batman.
At least Sayumi looks gorgeous as always, and those occasional winks are pretty cute.
Haruka is such a badass.
What the hell is Masaki doing at 3:30? I think I'm going to have nightmares.

Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
That was the result of a one week delay? To be honest, I love the H!P formula of making videos but, that wasn't nice at all. It's probably because of the bad camera angles.
Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
Those glitter and lighting effects are absolutely ridiculous and make the whole thing look unbelievably low budget. Seriously, did Tsunku just keep sending it back with notes bemoaning the lack of sparkles? It's like the editor was one of the women from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.
I still love the song and everyone looks beautiful except mint green girl, who's adorable but bad at facial expressions. I still haven't learned the 10th gen's names, obviously.

I actually like this song now, but am so disappointed by this PV. What happened to story lines? So much potential lost .
I am requesting a gif of Haruna at 2:36 please! It'd be an awesome avatar, she's so adorable. In fact I think this video actually made me like Haruka a lot more! And Ayumi!

Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
So now we know the reason for the delay - this is how long it took for the only laptop in UFA's offices capable of running Adobe After Effects to render all those lens flares.
But with that said, I'm happy enough. Remembering the recent sore disappointment I knew not to get hyped up too much. They did a decent enough job using post-production to hide the lack of budget for decent-looking raw footage (i.e. sets more elaborate than $1 curtains and streamers). Flashy and sparkly as it is, it does show that time and effort was spent to make it not look like a few default effects with default settings slapped on top of another. Same with editing - while not mind-blowing, they did step out of their "group shot - closeup - groupshot" comfort box and tried to do something a little creative.
Jiriri Kiteru remains undefeated as the artistically and technically best H!P MV, but overall, One Two Three is a good effort on a limited budget. Since I'm rarely on the bleeding edge when it comes to checking out new material I didn't mind the delay, but the result was worth waiting a few more days. And the extra pocket money that Tsunku probably threw at the editors when he realised that maybe, just maybe, he had a actual potential hit lined up that could appeal to general audiences.

Dat lens flare, I knew it was a homage to Star Trek. I guess I'll be happy with floating sparkles instead of lasers. But holy crap someone was having fun.
I can see Tsunku now, NEEDS MOAR SPARKLEZ! So this is basically the new version of Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa wo Honki de Negatterun dayo. (Yay copy/paste!) So I expect The Matenrou Show to get the good but weird MV that pays homage to 50 singles?
Ayumi's sparkle wink, that was amazing. Girl got wink!
Also, I love the Eggs are now introducing the videos. Gettin' to know the eggs through other peoples music videos.

Good god that fucking shooting star that flashes across the mid right side to the lower left corner killed me. It's like they did 3 seconds of sparkle effects and looped it over and over.

TOO MUCH LIGHT...
I could barely watch the full song... some members did amazing job but masaki did so awful, I just hated every single shot she had, she can't sing, can't dance and above all she can't even look like she is singing, so got to much screen time she didn't deserve... her hair look like a wig too...
Mizuki & Ayumi and some others looked lovely.
I really liked erina, she surprised me...

Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
Meh. You can tell they didn't want to break their mold, but they clearly did more with the formula. Filming more takes and angles made it a billion times better. The sparkles were too much sometimes, but it pushed the "every girl has a color" idea.

This too. The effects are awful, why do they look like snowflakes? Maybe this especially pisses me off because it's 105 degrees today where I am, but I know it doesn't snow in July in Japan either. I think a lot of people had noticed that the picture quality looked much better than usual on the dance shot, but the effects completely cover that up. What a waste.
But the editing of the shots was nice. I do think it's ridiculous that Zukki got significantly less screen time than the others - especially by about the third time Haruka come up for her cute-face shot. Eripon seemed neglected too, but she did at least get some nice shots in the beginning. Ayumi is the star of this PV, which is a huge credit to her considering she has almost no lines. I'm amazed by how photogenic she's become. When she first joined I thought she was really awkward and kind of gremlin looking. Now she's stunning.
As for Masaki, I don't quite get what people are complaining about? I thought she was pretty cute. There might have been one awkward face in there, but not awkward enough to leave a huge impression on me. Sayumi, as always, was gorgeous. No one looked bad, actually.
I was a little disappointed that the dolly shots were basically Busu ni Naranai Tetsugaku Part 2, different outfits might have helped them stand out. But at least they broke the traditional formula up a bit.

Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
It's fine. I blame all my disappointment on allowing my expectations to rise for some reason.
I feel all kinds of creepy, but...
Mizuki looks sooooo good. Delicious even <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
They really all look great. Eripon is continuing to rocket upward in my ranks. I agree that Masaki has a lot to work on... though no generation yet has ever been so un-shadowed by veterans, and thus expected to be competent so quickly.

Ahhhh Ayumi and Mizuki look so gorgeous in this (though everyone looks great). The solo shots look really cool. I don't really have much else to say about this PV as there isn't much else going on except for a bunch of sparkly effects.

Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
We all know the Zook is awesome, but I'm surprised anyone expected her to get any screen time. Girl is new Makoto. At least the few shots we did were flattering.
Re: Morning Musume's 50th Single "One•Two•Three/The Matenrou Show"
I can understand why it would take so long to edit; that video switched clips a lot. They made a big effort to match the switches to the song, and a good effort of showing who's singing at what point. However, I agree with a lot of people: too many effects. It was extremely distracting.
Also, I'm not sure about this, but I think some of the close-up shots were repeated. One of Ayumi's in particular. I'd give a screenshot but I'm on my phone...
