SNSD might come to Europe/North America in the near future according to rumours.

Well, at least according to the Wikipedia article for SMTown Live World Tour III:

"The opening video during May 20 concert in Anaheim also hinted possible future dates in Europe, Asia, and the United States."



But since I don't know anything about it, this might as well be completely false.

The PV was weird. I'm not used to them just sitting around posing and then have sudden outbursts of dance-movement (like 2:02).

I don't know about showing off her boobs, but in general it is kind of weird how she's the only member in a revealing outfit. Seems like they're pushing her as the sexy member right now. Personally, I think Hyo and Yuri are sexier.

Tiffany totally looks like an anime character here, and this is probably the most face time she's gotten in any of their videos. I guess the director liked her or something...



I found myself missing the line distribution of TTS. Somehow with this song, the dance line barely gets any parts at all (and mostly ruins the parts they do get) and yet there is still rarely enough time for any one person to sing even one whole sentence. I really dislike it when these huge idol groups switch off after one or two bars in the middle of a phrase.



It was interesting that Jessica was again featured much more prominently than Taeyeon, which seems to be a pattern in their Japanese stuff, and I'd be curious to see if that continues to hold in the eventual A-side for this single.

With all the buzz about the current weakening of the hallyu wave in Japan due to market oversaturation, I'd think now would be a good time to actually expend some effort on putting out a good product. But no, instead they are serving up a rehash of one of their worst promo tracks. I think I am going to check out of the fandom for a few months.

I prefer their styling of the original Oh! (especially Taeyeon's) and they put some weird, freaky post-processing on their faces during the locker close-ups (or maybe it's just lighting again... or me).

I have actually vastly preferred their Japanese album songs to their Japanese singles. Let It Rain, Youaholic, The Great Escape and Beautiful Stranger are some of my favorite SNSD songs of all time. Their Korean albums on the other hand... 90% filler with very few memorable tracks.

Their first Japanese album sucked so bad though, and they haven't redeemed themselves once. Mr. Taxi was the best thing they'd done in Japan, and IT sucks. Tell me when they hit up Korea again.
