Rough compared to what? I don't think they're any worse than a LOT of what H!P does nowadays, they just throw autotune and bullshit on top of it now. Yeah, but that wasn't nowadays, that was 2004. It came from a time of really good songs, and it deserved better vocals, this is that moment when they can make it happen. They wouldn't even touch the instrumental, they got that part right the first time.

It needed to be remade because the Berryz girls have made so much progress vocally. It's not just that they have mature voices now, it's that they really weren't ready when the song was originally recorded. They were a kids group, but they definitely were given more challenging songs than say, Mini Moni(Yaguchi days) or Pucchi Moni.

In my opinion, this song was near perfect the first time and didn't need to be remade, but now that it has, it is perfect. (Well not quite, it still needs Maiha.) And, it is no where near S/mileage.



As a die hard fan of the original, its a song I listen to a lot. It was pretty obvious that the vocals were very different, I think Risako's are the most different considering how her voice has deepened. I'm glad to hear that Yuri is sounding more like her original voice, since she's got a bit bad recently.

Yuri, dear god, I love her voice so much.<img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' /> I must say, she's been sounding a bit bad lately, but this makes it all better.

As much as I hate Momoko, I think she actually sounds good in this one. Her and Yuri's voices are so different, but I think they sound good together. I'll be buying this on itunes, mainly to support Yuri, but I also think I can say I support Momoko in this one too.

I said I was going to save my iTunes card, but fuck it; I must have this beautiful music. I'll be visiting iTunes tomorrow and doing my part to support Berryz, so we can have more pretty pretty songs like this.

1. Succhaka Mecchaka~ (すっちゃかめっちゃか〜) :: A pretty good opening number. It seems standard for Tsunku to start his albums with a high energy or powerful song. It's got a few old Tsunku melodies in it that remind me of other songs he's done in the past. I can't think of what they are right now though. Someone sounds like Reina in this song, I'm not sure who did it. Might have been Saki. Near the end the song sort of falls apart and that's why it's not my favorite on the album. It just sort of doesn't go anywhere and then just ends.
2. WANT! :: I liked this single, but I think it's the break down that I like the most. It was my favorite after Cha Cha Sing for Berryz in 2012.
3. Otoko Mae (男前) :: Probably my least favorite of the shuffle songs. Yurina isn't one of my favorite singers and Momoko, well she's fine and she uses her big girl voice so it's not horrible. But the song is slightly forgettable to me. But then again when your'e sandwiched between WANT!~ and two of my now, favorite songs, you either stand out or fall behind.
4. Nanda Kanda de Yoi Kanji! (なんだかんだで良い感じ！) :: Chinami and Maasa work well together in this song. I think this is the best I've heard Chinami sing, ever. In fact I had to be reminded it was Chinami singing. I liked the instrumental for this song, very beachy, upbeat and almost old-school Buono sounding. The guitar in this song is probably my favorite. This is going to be fun to see performed live. Poodle skirts should be involved. Frilly obnoxious poodle skirts, with real poodles.
5. Koi Itoshiki Kisetsu (恋いとしき季節) :: My favorite song on this album and I was totally bias because it had Risako and Miyabi on it. I was a little leery of Saki at first, but damn she brings it, a little weak at first, but she brings it. The melody in this haunts me. This is the reason I'm buying the album, this song. It's beautiful. I don't care what anyone else says. If there is one song on this album, aside from Anata Nashi that you need in your life, it's this song.
6. Be Genki (Naseba Naru!) (Be 元気<成せば成るっ!>) :: I wasn't to sure about this single at first, but after awhile it grew on me.
7. Massugu na Watashi (まっすぐな私) :: Standard slow song. Or as I like to call it, the bathroom break song. They've done better and that's why this is my least favorite on the album.
8. cha cha SING :: God Damn Copy-write!
9. Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai (2013 Ver.) (あなたなしでは生きてゆけない(2013Ver.)) :: Classic. I kind of got a little teary when I played this against the original. I'm happy Tsunku didn't mess with this, but I wish he would have toned down his own voice and let the girls carry this song on their own. I understood it when it first came out, but now, they could have done it without the help.
10. Momochi! Yurushite Nyan ♡ Taisou (Yurusa Nyai Remix) (ももち! 許してにゃん♡体操(許さにゃい Remix)) :: This is an acid trip for the mind. This is as obnoxious as Momoko, so it's perfect in that respect. My ears are bleeding nyan colored rainbows. I feel like I just went through the stargate in 2001 A Space Odyssey after that experience. I have no idea what just happened.

Yessss, I haven't listened to the whole album yet but I'm really liking this one. I love how happy Maasa sounds in this...I feel like lately she just looks miserable all the time and I want her to be HAPPY Maasa again! Fun fact: She was my favorite when Berryz started.
