Fun fact: in Japan they sell little cartridges so that you can pierce yourself. I've seen ear,, nose, belly button, and eyebrow. Thy are pretty cheap. This is actually how I pierced my nose.

This is because otherwise you have to go to a hospital/doctor's office to get pierced, apparently. Jewelry stores don't do it. Which seems like bad business xD

Re: Hello!Spam :: 15 years of Chou Happy Spam!
I'm such a weanie. I couldn't pierce anything myself! I have 5 piercings in my ears total. Major props to Ayumi if she does it herself! Too bad she's just probably talking about one piercing in each ear, though. I'm assuming multiple piercings per ear/cartilage piercings are slightly frowned upon in Japan.

Well Risako has three in one of her ears!
And yeah...I did it in a dirty train station bathroom right before finding out I was going to a business dinner with my host family. Luckily I was in Osaka and they just thought it was funny.

I never paid attention to her ears much, but that's cool! Maybe Ayumi should go that route? Except I'm not quite sure she could pull off the multi-colored hair like Risako can.

Re: Hello!Spam :: 15 years of Chou Happy Spam!
I vote we let Ayumi have piercings, but we forever keep her hair that pretty dark brown that it appears as in some pictures. (I can't tell if her what her hair color is because it always shows up different.)

I'm not really a fan of all black hair because I like some variety. I'd be ok with all dark hair, just in different shades, not just black.

As long as we don't end up with everyone in poo brown again, I'm good. Black hair is prettier IMO but that's probably just because I hardly know anyone with black hair. Kinda exotic or something.

Yeah, I know. That's why I try not to get too sad when everyone has different shades of brown, but I see brown everywhere else in life so it's a little boring to me. At least nearly all nine (or however many) Musume girls sporting different shades of brown was boring. I think it was around Seishun Collection.

well her name is in hiragana so it doesn't have a meaning.
As for the word れいな itself, I don't think it has any other meanings れい can be a few things, cold, order, zero, a bell of some sort...
but I could EASILY be wrong!

Sources say the kanji for her name (I guess the hiragana is just for stage) is 麗奈.

If this is what the play is like, I'd see it.

lol it's been a while since I took French. But yeah, I knew she had kanji, I just couldn't remember what they were. So for all I knew they could have meant queen.
/edit Also, here is the digest for Ayumi's birthday event DVD. I'm not saying she's amazing vocally or anything, but she has definitely improved a lot. She is so cute in this. <3

Reina means queen in French and maybe some other languages? I am not sure if the Japanese use it as a loan name. I mean they assign name kanji to whatever. I knew a girl named LUM with kanji, so...

The Kanji that Anderei posted is Reina's actual name, but there's an actress named Tanaka Rena with the exact same Kanji, so Reina uses hiragana so that they don't get confused.

I guess I should have specified that I was talking about the kanji for her name. I've had a character named Reina before (in the time of searching the internet for Japanese names) and Reina meant Queen. (Also the actress Tanaka Reina is from Fukuoka as well.)

Reina means queen in Spanish or something like that... People started mentioning it when High king debuted.

Usually it's spelled Reyna, though I've seen Reina several times, just Reyna more. (Rey=King)

Hi!
Are you talking about Spanish? "Reina" is never spelled "reyna" there. It would be a pretty big mistake to write it like that...
Also, there seems to be other languages where "reina" means "queen" too: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/reina
