In HD, no less. Tsunku probably hasn't figured YouTube out yet.

They might think that uploading MV with subtitles would suffice. I mean, many people think subtitles are annoying so they will buy the actual MV.
But really, this is so boring I can't even live through half of it. Even green screen can do much better than this.

Star, those are unexpectedly hilarious. haha

I don't like that they add hardsubbed lyrics to the MVs, it makes me realize how dumb they are...
The song is pretty ok, actually. Much better than the high-tone infested thing they (H!P in general, really) had in the last 12 months.
For some reason it, very distantly, reminded me of In the mood for love
MV and song's rather bear-centric, which I like.

I love that they weren't saying "China" over and over that whole time! What cutely clever lyrics. I love the PV (MV? Whatever), outfits, and covers. Y'all just nitpicky.

That really meant a lot to me too, when I found out it wasn't "China" but "-cchai na". I felt less loathesome of the lyrics. I like this song and the PV and most of the outfits, but I still think the covers are atrocious. H!P has some nice covers, but dis ain't it.

I love everything but the PV is pretty boring. But yeah, the cchai na pun is really cute. "Maji desu ka Suka" anyone?

The chorus reminds me a lot of Morning Musume's Manatsu no Kousen - it has a very summer feeling and is Tsunku-like composition. I'm afraid to listen to this again since only after one time I got stuck in my head with the first verse - not even the chorus! That said, I do like the chorus because it reminds me of old-school H!P.

It is a glorious day! Momoko doesn't have those fugly pigtails and she doesn't look like a troll without them this time. She finally looks normal again.

That MV is really good. Everyone looks and sounds great, the song and lyrics are really good, and the MV is well done. My only problem is at the beginning the dance looked a lot like the one from WANT!, and then at the end it just looked slightly awkward, but I think that's my dislike of the hand on the crotch especially with a dress.

It was surprisingly well done :weeeh: . The glass boxes were really cool.

But those dresses. Who the heck picked those dresses? :dammit:

I would be happy if that became her new regular style.

I always like Sayonara more, and apparently so did whoever directed this MV. I will hence forth ignore the existence of Chinatown and just enjoy this song.

Sugary Risako is so lovelygorgeousbeautiful I love her FOREVER

Momoko singing the line "I'll be the real me from today" ... that would be nice if it really meant no more Momochi :hahaha:

I wish Saki got more lines. I really like the depth of her voice. I always thought Yurina was under-utilized, but after going back through the BK PV's the other night, I learned she is one of the 2nd line centers (her and Momoko).

The "Bad at living / bad at loving" part reminds me of the beginning of MM's "SONGS". They're like the same lyrics there.

Also, I really wish they wouldn't hard-sub the videos. I'd really like to watch without the subtitles. They're super-distracting.

Right? Even Golden Chinatown is better than the current Smileage and a lot of the current MM stuff. Sayonara is good! Apart from the shapeless sacks of dresses (seriously, put a waistline on them!) it's good. Risako is a queen oh my god. Please give her a solo career. She out-performs everyone. Lack of Captain, Maa and Chinami is annoying but they got more screen time in Chinatown so it's fine I suppose.
