Oh yeah, people tell each other they are fat there all the time! When my host sister got back from exchange, she gained a lot of weight, and my host mom was like, you're too fat, you need to lose that weight! Or friends say it too each other... I wouldn't call someone that myself ^^; but I guess I don't think it's rude when other people say it there?
 
I saw a JP wota post something on a MM video once that was saying, Yes, Kanon is noticeably heavier than the other members, and her previous self, but she's going through puberty and the body goes through weird changes, and it's hard to have a slim body for some people during that time, and that she should just focus on keeping herself healthy and not force herself to do crazy diets since she's still growing.
I agree with this person a lot. I mean, even by American standards Kanon is on the chubby side (no offense to anyone), but she's still growing into her body, and she's definitely no Matsuko Deluxe!

Have we even seen her standing next to an American, though? Not to be nitpicky, but Asian girls are insanely small, and while Kanon looks big next to the other girls, I doubt she is chubby by American standards.

They're not that small. And yes standing next to someone like Sayu is going to make her look bigger. But just by looking at her you can tell. I'm trying to be mean or anything about this though... As long as she's healthy and not skipping meals or doing anything dangerous. Yossi and Aibon went through this stage around the same time too...
Maybe it's different in different parts of America, weight standards and stuff idk, but Kanon is a 'celebrity' I guess, and American standards for famous people are very thin as well. I mean tabloid magazines pick at every little flaw people have. Japan isn't any different.

Mizuki can't use a phone and for the life of me I'm not exactly sure what she's doing. Haruna makes the best facial expressions. Some of these people can't act to save their soul.

And MM will be on Hey Hey Hey! airing on July 1st. They sang Help Me!! and according to fans that attended the event, Reina's lines were split between Ayumi and Maa-chan.

Ayumi looks more Chinese than Japanese to me, partly because she looks like a Chinese woman I know and her features are a little wider and lips a little thicker than most Japanese women.

Or maybe the convention was cancelled altogether, I don't remember.
