I agree with you on that front.  Hell, keep the short hair, just don't ever do blonde again.  I'm sorry, but I don't really think yellow-blonde is a good color on Asians.  A cooler shade definitely looks better.  For instance, I really despised Mari's blonde hair until she went to a more neutral shade.

I had to look her up because I don't follow Scandal but you're right. It's a rare exception for me but Mami is a total babe with that blonde hair. o.O

Oh god, I hated when Ai first dyed her hair blonde.  She looked SO WEIRD to me and I really couldn't stand looking at her in "Only You"... I mean, I'm all for doing something to set yourself apart, or give yourself a new feeling or look.  Some blonde is okay, I mean like I said, I really only hate yellow blonde hair.  It's not really reserved to just Asians either, haha.  If it's more muted and ash-blonde, or dark-blonde, as long as it's not like yellow, it's okay.  It also depends on your face, I think.  Yossi pulls it off, but I prefer her with dark blonde or that pretty brown-red shade she had for a while.

I would just like to say I'm not a fan of blonde in general, since I am a natural blonde, and I just think it looks DULL and UNHEALTHY (some natural blondes do totally rock it though, like TnB).  WHICH IS WHY IT KILLS ME WHEN ASIANS DYE THEIR HAIR BLONDE.  I dye my hair black to get the healthy shine...and they strip theirs of that. :(
 
That being said I'm not a fan of short or blonde in general for hair...
