I'd fly back just to see an H!P act in SF. But tickets cost $1000+ in the summer..

My mom heard about Reina and thinks she stands out the most in MM. 
Base on my reaction when I heard Reina is coming to SF, my mom thought Reina died.

That might be why it makes sense to UFP or whoever: they have no fanbase, start with the American animu population? I dunno if SF counts as the anime nerd area, but my guess is to hit them off with people who will love anything Japanese, and oh look it's got guitars so it's kind of edgy maybe kinda!

How far away are you? Even though I'm not a huge Reina fan I think seeing her would still be worth it if its just an hour or two away.

I am pretty far away - it would be a 9 hour drive or so and pretty short notice for my friends in the Bay.  It looks like I'm skipping this.  Also, I'm totally pregnant so driving long distances might not be a good idea

I saw Reina today. She had just finished doing an interview at JPOP Summit. Then she was just walking around in the crowd, nobody knew who she was. So I reached out and tapped her shoulder. She turned around and I said "Thanks for all the good music." She smiled and said "Yay yay." That was the end of our communication. She probably didn't understand a word I said, but I hope the sentiment came across. She has GREAT skin, not a lot of makeup at all. Very lovely young woman. Nice smile.
