Wow, her stamina has majorly improved. There are a few moments that are eh, but considering this is one of the harder H!P songs to sing, she did awesome. Not gonna lie, I was kind of surprised by how well it turned out

Did anyone have a chance to actually watch them BluRays yet (or properly done 1080p rips)? I wouldn't mind getting some of them, but I worry they were not filmed in HD to begin with so there'd be no point to spend extra on them over the DVDs.

They are definitely filmed in at least 1080p and probably a lot of the footage is in 4k. There's some pretty serious camera gear in the concert halls. Maybe some of the overhead or other special camera angles were not shot in 1080, but I doubt it.

Now DROP THE PRICE ON THE OTHER BLU-RAYS DARNIT! So frustrating to see some 30K and the others are 60K. :( There are several I'd buy if they'd drop the price.

If they didn't intend to broadcast the concerts on HDTV (like the EriJunLin graduation one) then they would have no reason to use HD cameras. Especially back in the 90's and early 2000's. I'm not sure if 4k even existed in any practical capacity at all back then.

Probably some of the recent shows are 4K. 1080 HD would've most likely been through an HDV solution from mid-00s on. Some googling also shows HDCAM as a tape solution since 1997. The cost between contracting a future-proofed HD solution and an SD solution probably wasn't too high, especially given that they're actually producing these HD versions now.

Mari was leader for that short period between Kaori's graduation and her resigning and Yossie was her subleader. They probably already knew Rika was leaving by that point (early 05) so no reason to make her sub-leader.

^Mari was leader when Yossy was sub-leader. Mari was leader for 2 months and 15 days. The scandal broke when they were promoting Rika's grad. single, Osaka Koi no Uta. 
 
Rika never became leader or even sub-leader of Momusu.

Momoe Yamaguchi's, it was a collab with another singer. What I wouldn't give for Takahashi Ai to come floating down from the OG heavens to take their place half way through it. 


But overall it just shows that everyone was having bad mic night, not just Morning Musume. (Sorry for getting off topic, I just get very vocal about Momoe Yamaguchi covers and very angry when they go wrong. I'm calm now.)
