Rock Erotic is pretty epic and more than I expected.


Also the single is being released on the 8th anniversary of Maiha's graduation. After reading the lyrics it almost sounds like they are still missing her, she better show up at Budokan or better yet put her back I'm the group. That would sure throw them into the spotlight would it?


Of course it would never happen, but at least I'd like to see her make an appearance at the concert.

Captain is absolutely gorgeous, her outfit is probably the best out of all of them. Miyabi's on the other hand is definitely the worst...and I can't for the life of me get over Risako's hat. That needs to go. Like now.

Risako's is my favorite, and I'm no fashion expert here, but that hat just does not go at all.

Wtf, did Miyabi infuriate her costume designer or something? All the other girls are dressed in pretty, sexy cutesy dresses and only she is dressed in a serious, boring outfit. I like Maasa's dress the most.
Personally I love Motto Zutto's lyrics and the feeling but Rock Erotic's PV  is definitely sexier. Well it is supposed to be "erotic" after all.

I think the cut of Maasa's dress is the most visually interesting but the print feels dated and the blazer is out of place.

Yurina <3 . . . And guys, either this is just some strange reoccurring coincidence or Tsunku is spying on my life again . . . I really don't feel like explaining that at the moment, but yeah.
Also don't judge me, but this came to my head while watching the second video. In the Berryz Brothel, Momoko is the innocent childish whore, Risako is the freaky one that would do "violent things to you", Miyabi is the high class whore, and Captain is just the one that looks the best among her "work associates".

I don't often compare girl bands with boy bands, but if C-ute is like Arashi then Berryz is like Kat-tun. C-ute's personality is pretty homogeneous which makes them function extremely well as a group, while Berryl girls have a variety of personalities to them, which sometimes throw off the group dynamics but I think that is what make them different.
Singing about life that matches with roses...I wish they put roses in the Rock Erotic PV.
Wait...Are roses too expensive?

I know everyone is loving Motto Zutto Issho ni Itakatta, and while I think it's a really interesting direction for Berryz, and I do enjoy it, I feel like visually, it's a disaster, which makes me really sad because this is going to be the song they'll be performing publicly when promoting this single.  It really brings out the very trait that has given Berryz trouble in the past, which is that they lack cohesion as a group.  With 50 different colors and cuts and styles of outfits (some of which are hideous, regardless of uniformity), it's just a hot mess and reeks of UFP's usual everything-and-the-kitchen-sink approach they have with Berryz.  Not to mention the HORRIFIC choreography. 


Rock EROTIC, on the other hand. Wow. I really love the costumes, the choreography is much better than usual for Berryz, and the group looks SO together, like a really professional unit. I would love for them to continue with this kind of image, but knowing UFP and how they've handled the group over the years, we'll probably have them doing the Cossack in bindis and saris, or break dancing in milk maid costumes.

I think it's just another H!P attempt to look fashionable. A few of the dresses are things you can easily find, but, yeah, the whole cohesive thing.

I just don't understand why Saki and Momoko look like they just walked out of Shouganai Yume Oibito, Maasa, Yurina and Risako are going full on Sex and The City, and Miyabi looks like a Dugger family member?

So I hadn't heard either song before the H!S episode, but I like both in their own way.

I got serious Platinum-era Momusu vibes from Motto Zutto Issho ni Itakatta. The PV is like they tried to combine Naichau Kamo with Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game or something and the song in general just sounds like something they might have gotten during that era.

Rock Erotic was totally unexpected, but I enjoyed it.

Choreography was boring for both songs, but I blame the choreographer for that one.

Rock Erotic is my favorite of the bunch visually and musically (ikemen Berryz  ). There is something great about Risako being a bunny girl that just is...win.
 
I feel like I would have liked Motto more if it wasn't for Miyabi's and Risako's strained vocals right at the beginning. Miyabi's outfit is HORRIBLE in that PV though, she looks like a businesswoman!

"Motto Zutto..."is really nice.  It's a nice departure from the usual stuff we've been hearing lately from H!P.  I think it's to balance out the "erotic"-ness of "ROCK Erotic"?  Anyway, I dig the dramatic pause.  This song seems mature and adult-like, without being sexy or dull.  And... thank you, Momoko, for looking like Momoko.
 
As far as "ROCK Erotic" -- I think I should have listened to it first, because I got pretty bored by it, despite that the girls (that are dressed as girls, and not in pant suits) are really looking great.  Saki is killin' it.
