H!P Blu-rays are mastered and manufactured on the lowest effort and cost possible. I mentioned it in my DVD vs Blu-ray thread - despite the many years separating the releases in those two formats, all they did for BD was dump the same source material, to the point it's frame-to-frame accurate.

I agree it is quite disappointing and making the BD price so much more difficult to stomach. At the same time it's still the best we can get now and definitely worth it, at least for the concerts. But I'm afraid we're still a few years away before UF starts considering BD as their primary format and use it to its full potential.

I think she's considered sort of plain looking in Japan. Most of their surprise definitely comes from the fact that she's not very popular. Same reason they're confused about so many international fans liking Kanon and Masaki.
