It's weird that there are members who are the same ages as my cousins and brother (born in 2000, 2002, and 2003) because I remember when they were born. But girls are generally more mature than boys at a younger age. My brother and cousin are only a year apart, but she is so much more composed than him and her older brother. Meaning that the young H!P girls are probably not as annoying as a 12 year old boy.

Y'all are making me feel old, lol. I don't think there are any girls in H!P anymore who are my age or older, and I'm not even old. Sayumi was the last girl in MM older than me, and she was only half a year older anyway.

Everyone in Berryz minus Yurina and Risako are older than me, and also Maimi is too. Aika was the last MM member older than me. Since 9th gen they've all been younger.

This is all that's been said about it so far, since the release date is so far away:
 
Kikkawa You will release a new single (currently untitled) on May 6th.

This was announced on February 13th during her Valentine event 'Kikka no Valentine Party ~Choco no Kazoekata~'.

Her new single is said to be "an unique work in idol history." At the present stage, it's known that "one song is several tens of minutes long" and "Kikkawa You will sing about a woman's way of life in opera and musical style."


Regarding the new song, Kikkawa commented, "There have been rumors that a 'solo idol is coming', but Kikka is a solo idol among solo idols that does original things.

In a good way, I hope to stay as an idol who stands out. I hope to sing about a woman's way of life in many forms, expressions, and voice, so please look forward to it."

This pic makes me wonder about who wasn't there and why. Maybe some people opted out of the photo if they are no longer celebrities but, it's strange. Why takahashi but no other musume from the 5th and younger gens? No Miki or Aya. Makes me wonder about the gossip back in the day.

Wiki tells me they're her kids are 7, 4, and 2. I guess 2 is a bit young, but so is 4 imo.
 
Also, maybe the other girls were busy? I don't know. Her wedding had a much better turnout than some of the more recent ones, but it probably helps that she had it in Japan.

Speaking of Maki and Aya, I was watching last year's Hina Fes over the weekend and Akari Takeuchi came out and did a Maki song, followed by Meimi coming out and doing an Aya song. (I don't have a track list in English so I can't i.d. the songs, but they're famous ones.) Akari's not a great singer, but she totally got the spirit of the song and clearly had fun doing it. It made me smile. Meimi's a much better singer, but something was off. She sounded way too breathy, making the singing much more of an effort than it should be and it prevented her from channeling Aya in any meaningful way. And I always thought, if anyone could do that she could.
