I just saw this post of wotaintranslation, and I wanted to ask you all the same question:
The Matenrou Show, Romance no Tochuu and Taiki Bansei, which one is the best?

I think I would say Matenrou > Taiki > Romance. The last 2 are pretty tied but Matenrou is my solid favorite out of the three.
I expect most people here to rank Matenrou 1st tbh I don't now why

And also I want to know if there are more good songs of this style in H!P? maybe from albums or dead groups or something I just need more of this

Some of H!P's older songs are more "funky" like pre-2003 era, I don't remember which ones are, I just know there are out there

I seem to remember people saying Taiyou to Ciscomoon had some "funky" songs but I haven't listened to them much so I can't think of any specific songs.

Matenrou, Taiki, Romance (from favorite to least). Taiko and Romance are pretty tied but I put Taiki first since it's newer and I listen to it more. Matenrou is my jam, though.

I really like Matenrou, as well as outfits and dance.
Taiki is really good, with some nice outfits and dance.
I like Romance but it's not as great as the two others, to me.

I don't remember watching the new dance break but I think I would still like the version with Reina vocals better

Romance > Taiki > Matenrou

Not that I dislike Matenrou, I just like the others better. I also agree with many comments on the Wota In Translation that the song sounds weird without Reina.

Same here. Taiki has a catchier chorus but when covering the song, I found the verses really annoying to memorize because they felt so bland, so Romance is ever so slightly ahead of it for me. I'm not usually a huge fan of H!P's ~~funk~~ songs but all three of these are pretty okay to me.

"Romance" by a hair over "Taiki Bansei" with "Matenrou Show" a very distant third. I never liked "Matenrou Show."

I think the big reasons Matenrou was so dissapointing for me as a single song is

1) It never received a proper music video even though it was a double A-side

2) it feels like a duet between Riho and Reina

Might as well have just been a B-side.

I still like the song itself okay, but I'm not crazy over it.

123 was also a glorified duet so it fit the theme.

I thought Matenrou was the shit when C-ute did it in a recent concert. It was awesome.

All three were actually arranged by the same guy.

Taiki makes me want to dance my ass off, Romance makes me want to sing my ass off, Matenrou was fun to bring back the old Tsunku disco vibe but too much Reina killed it for me.
