Seconding that. Damn. Although I'm actually surprised she hadn't got one before now, I guess they have to fill the PB sales-shaped whole Riho left somehow.

PB sales are low, Riho included so I'm pretty sure this was just another step in the Please Like Sakura plan.


Like I remember it being a huge deal when Mizuki's sold just over 1000 copies because it's almost unheard of for an H!P photobook.

I agree with Anderei.

But if you look at H!P big sellers girls (for goods) : Kira☆kira (Reina) and some Airi's photobooks sold between 1k4 to 2k.

So it's not unheard of for H!P but it's quite rare yes (PB sales numbers are quite hard to find so it might be a little more common actually).

Honorable mentions : Mizuki (1k2), Sayu's last (1k) and Ayumi's 1st (850). Riho's Un Deux Trois might also have sold 1k but no rankings, only estimation so I'd be careful with those numbers.

I know there's an Oricon chart for it, but that requires ranking on it I suppose.


Either way, photobooks feel more like something they do because it's standard and not because it's a huge money maker. There's probably a reason they don't churn out photobooks the way they used to when H!P was more popular.

I know they are, I don't actually think PB sales make up any big number lol. I was just expressing that the fact is, they lost their most popular PB releasing member. Fukumura 3, Kudou 3 (But only two at the end of last year, the 3rd one is this year), and Ishida 2. Sayashi had 5, one every year except two in her last year because the one before it got delayed a few months from continuing her one every year streak. So they're picking the next member with the best bod that they can sell to the kimowota, rather than popularity since they lost that.

Okai Chisato has vocal nodules, she's getting treatment for it and is on temporary hiatus. I'm surprised she screwed up her voice sooner than Mai did.

They did have it, but she's the first one to have surgery for it though. Takahashi did make a decent come back after she did but it did take some time.

True - but shitty technique like that employed by even the best of idols makes nodes more of an inevitability than they really should be.  Combine that with the fact that they tour HARD, a lot of shows, a lot of dates, and a lot of songs that are way higher than they need to be for "cuteness" and it's just a horrible, perfect storm for damaged vocal cords.
