She may still be here, but her hair sure has left the building. I like her with the short hair.

It does frame her face quite nicely, I agree that short hair works well on her.

Finally--I've been refreshing the profile page for the past week lol...
They also still have Yoshida Marie on, so I'm wondering when they'll take her off??

8 new KSS have joined the flock. Yoshida Marie is gone. Yonemura Kirari will not be in the upcoming recital.

Re: The Official Unofficial Kenshuusei Guide + News Source
Excited to see the new batch of girls... I feel like the past two gens have had really pretty, unique names.
Here is some info people found:
Okamura Minami:
She has been a child model for a while now. 12 years old.
Matsunaga Riai:
Also a former model
Yamada Ichigo:
Part of an idol group. 11 years old.
Nakayama Natsume:
Another former idol.
Keep in mind these are all going to be girls that failed MM's second 2016 13th gen auditions... They auditioned around June-August.

Yeah, we've been getting all those borderline kira kira names now that the girls are starting to be born in the 2000s lmao.

Re: The Official Unofficial Kenshuusei Guide + News Source
They're speculating that Yamada Ichigo is Kosakura Ichigo from the group Onigokko. Her birthday is July 15th, 2005. She looks like she's even younger though.
This is Netsuke. She was a member of a group called Sweet Girl. She was also born in July 2005 based on an intro video from last year.
Riai was ALSO born in July 2005. This is her. There's also a photo of her attending an Angerme event. She would have missed the age deadline by less than a month for their audition.
Here's a video of Minami performing in 2015.
So literally have of this new group already are moe blobs who were born like yesterday lol.

So they just take kanji that has a cool meaning and make up a pronunciation by themselves? I didn't quite see much in common with the names in the video and the recent kss we're getting

Re: The Official Unofficial Kenshuusei Guide + News Source
That's why I called them borderline kira kira names. They're not really, they're just kind of ultra cute and childish sounding. Miki's daughter's name is a bit kira kira but I've yet to see an idol whose name is actually full blown kira kira. Probably because it's a newer trend and those kids aren't really old enough to debut.

Yonemura Kirara's name feels pretty close, imo.... Kirara? Same with Momohime. Though idk how popular that is as an actual name, it seems like it might have a decent amount of use.
But yeah, none of them are true kira kira names....... yet!
That video was more to give an example of some and how ridiculous they can get.

Momohime is one of the ones that just feels really childish to me. Like yeah, it's cute for a baby, it'll be a lot less cute once she's 30.

We'll see... apparently her nickname for herself is "Purin" as in "Princess".... but it just makes me think of pudding lmao.
As long as she's an idol she'll probably stick with Momohime. And who knows, if she turns out similar to Tsugunaga she might just keep it into her twenties =w=

They're trainees, though, so it might not be so bad. What's the average tenure of KSS before they debut/wash-out?

Actually pretty long. I'd say the majority stick around until they age out of the audition process. And a ton of the original Eggs were around until they restructured the program.

Re: The Official Unofficial Kenshuusei Guide + News Source
Having the Factory's there gives the trainees something to aspire to. It helps I'm sure, when practicing also. It gives something for the fans to go see, and gives the Factory's themselves practice. Especially Tsubaki as they are just out of their incubation stage and still need the practice. As the newer girls get more comfortable and gain more followers I'm sure they will eventually be phased out like Juice=Juice and S/Mileage were.

I get that and can understand Tsubaki... But Kobushi debuted in September of 2015... that's a long time to still be performing with the KSS. To be fair Juice=juice was still generally participating in KSS shows about 2 years into their debut. It just feels too long. Like you take up time they could be using for more of their own performances?
I'm torn because I get they need strong seniors to show them, especially with 17 out of the 24 girls being trainees for under a year now. >.> that hurt to realize how many of them are still, generally, "newcomers."

PS--You can see which of the new girls were models from their photos, hahaha. And Yamada Ichigo looks like Kaede 2.0
Just from looks, Doi Rena is going to be a big winner in my book. I'm giving her all my attention.
