The "image" angle bugs me, but I kind of understand the company's no-boyfriends rule for younger girls from the perspective of not wanting any outside distractions that keep them from focusing on their work. Once an idol reaches 18, though, they should be allowed to date openly without consequence.

But I think one of the main reasons they keep the ambiguity on this rule is the wota : last year one of them (20yo, male) talked to me about MaiMai half scandal and he seemed sincerely hurt by these photos.

No, that's stupid if she doesn't come back for fear of insult. Also Rena is my favorite member and there are lots people that want her back than who think she should leave. Also they just lost Rio, they don't need to lose 2 members. There are idols getting stabbed out here.

Incidentally we saw her perform as part of Team 4 not very long after the incident and, using Tsunku's terms, she was giving maybe her 20%, while other members were at 80-120%. I didn't follow them at all, but after seeing that performance I was sure she would soon quit on her own anyway with that kind of attitude, so I'm also surprised she's still around.

NMB's album stuff was before the announcement, they weren't gonna redo it all just because of her. I don't know if she's going to be in the Undergirls PV. If she is, I expect very little screen time.

Rio wasn't either but since KF has been performing as 6, Rio was only on group shots and Rena in both group and solo shots. But KF is the only group that isn't releasing a part 4 & 5 for their summer shots on Friday and that is weird.

Ogawa Rena has left Kobushi Factory. Which seems kind of suspicious since she did have her scandal. I'm not really that upset since she wasn't my favorite either. But this is still a crappy way to go. This year is just crappy for Kobushi in general it seems.

So Kobushi Factory’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Year continues apace. I predict that they will emerge from this stronger than ever. Now that all the loose ends have been tied up, they can focus all of their energies on moving forward.
