How would you do a black pen light though?
[/quote]
Never doubt the creativity of the fans. When Ikubo's color was brown, one of her fans actually made a brown glowstick. Her other fans just used chocolate bars during the daytime performances. Anyway, I remember during iDOLM@STER concerts when Hiromi Hirata came on stage, her character Makoto's image color is black, the fans would either use white and/or purple glowsticks for her. Someone could actually make a "black" one like how someone did the brown one by using a darker fabric to cover a white glowstick.

Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
^ I remember a lack of white glowsticks for for Yukiho as well, so there were a lot of teal. But now that we're in an era of LED penlights, IM@S makes official black ones for Makoto. They're just more of a dark gray.
But then again, IM@S makes separate penlights for each girl, so it's very likely white LED into tinted plastic covers? Guess that could present an issue with doing black in a color-changing Kingblade-type.

Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
Yeah, black would be difficult. Silver/grey is easy though. I have one on my cheap kingblade-knockoff.
Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
My only concern with a black penlight is that it wouldn't really be visible when the lights are down for the concert. White or silver, yeah. But black is the absence of light soooo...difficult lol. I mean, how can the girls tell if it's black penlights in an area or if there just aren't any penlights there? I know a lot of the girls over the years have mentioned that during concerts they look for lights in their color- which makes sense since that indicates a fan of theirs. It would just suck if a girl couldn't easily see her fans because she got stuck with a bad color.

Miyamoto Karin will be having a solo tour in October.

<div>Karin's been dabbling with making her own music and playing the guitar for a while now. She's played some of her original work at her birthday events. So It will be interesting to see what she does for a concert.</div>

It's cool that they're letting her do this. Wish I could see one of these shows.

So the tour has been named "Miyamoto Karin Solo Live Tour 2019 Aki". Tacking on the season label makes me think Up-Front could seriously be considering future tours very soon. Could Karin be the long awaited new H!P soloist?
Of all the H!P girls, I definitely think she's best candidate. There are better voices, bigger personalities and more charismatic performers in the company, but I don't think anyone is a total package like she is.

Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
This absolutely, and besides she's probably one of the most reliable idols in H!P as long as her health allows it.

Karin is not necessarily my favorite but if she’s making her own music I am 100% behind her having a solo career. We really need a soloist in H!P and if it can’t be Ruru then I’m fine with any other J=J girl xD

Sakura will be back with MM'19 to perform at Rock in Japan!
I'm stoked she's back but I hope she doesn't push herself too much. No more hair flips and overworking herself.
I had a feeling that little announcement last week was just them giving Sakura an extra week to recoup and rest before doing the RIJ festival. It should be an awesome event.

Eh, seems kind of short. Also, it's all single songs (and nothing new, which makes sense considering they didn't release Accha Accha too long ago. Speaking of Accha Accha... where is it?).
That being said, I prefered having new members actually participate in tours. That's what was good about announcing them on the last day of a running tour: They could train until the next one would start. I guess Rin will pick up performing with them sometime during the fall dates, but eh. She's a former Kenshuusei, they could have squeezed her into one or two numbers.

Yes! And it felt like even the newer girls (Oota and Layla) really didn't get many lines at the Tokyo Idol Fest--I'm really hoping they gave them more to work with this tour. The whole appeal of each new gen of Angerme was they'd be thrown right into the frying pan and given a real chance to stand on their own. Granted, 7th gen did get one decent line in Accha Accha but that's about all I remember of them.
Also I agree Rin should have been in this tour. They're really putting her behind (again, related to what I said above) by keeping her out of the game for another 3 months... I just don't really get the reasoning. I realllly don't want Angerme to fall into a similar trap to MM, but their management needs to really get ahold of themselves rn.

Speaking of Accha Accha... where is it?

That's really odd, although not as odd as that MM set list. Literally half the of the songs were recorded before any of these girls were in the group.
Not that I'd be complaining if I were in attendance.

Where is the synergy? This set list is so weird and jarring. Mikan into KP?

Mikan is a song that was released at one of MM's lowest points. It's kind of a "see where we are now?" message.
Kimagure Princess is simply an audience pleaser. As is pretty much everything except for maybe Seishun Night, which is their latest single after all.

More footage from the RIJ Morning Musume performance.
This is a place where a signature goes. Enjoy some Airi instead.

So... those are the best outfits they could give them for one of their most mainstream appearances in years? lmao okay...
Setlist has a lot of songs I like but there's no denying it's kind of a haphazard mixture of vibes LOL. I'm happy Sakura healed up in time to get to do this (and I'm sure everyone else is too, since she's basically the vocal backbone of the group at this point and several of those songs are hardish to sing).

Momohime reprised her rendition of Tsumetai Kaze for her birthday event :)
Also Farrah--believe me.... I was "wtf"-ing those MM costumes so hard. Especially since they were out in the summer heat?

Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
I hope not! It certainly wouldn't be the killing blow for Tsubaki as they've grown from just "Kiki & co", but it still would suck to not have her on screen. Her MV screentime is always so capivating.
Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
I always saw TF as the Kiki and Kishimoto Show from the start, and Kishimon has taken the bull by the horns in Kiki's absence, but it would be a huge loss for them.

Okamura Homare (one of MM's new 15ki) will have to rest for two weeks due to lower back pain and only does MCs for that time.
She has been diagnosed with a 4 week lumbar facet joint injury.

So what the funk are they doing with the girls?

In her case, it’s probably just that she’s weak.

Lol Jesus, I didn't think it would be that intense on their bodies---do you think it's all the up and down the stairs on stage, the dancing, or did they try to get her to do some acrobatics?
Don't forget, this is the girl who has been dancing for years now, so her body shouldn't give out just because of dancing.

Re: Hello!News Network :: 2018 Anniversary Edition
I mean yeah they point out that you have to be super-duper flexible for MM stuff and that the new girls are very stiff, but I'm with TicTac here, she should have some muscle around her back from her dancing background.
