Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
It's true. Considering many girls in other groups have looked into other fields Morning Musume really looks like their girls are more than comfortable where they are now. They all chose the group instead of studying (except for Masaki). Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority just graduated to marry someone.
On Mizuki: I think management is actually not against keeping her in the group. On the one hand Dawa just left, so looking for yet another new H!P leader might be annoying. That's why I think they're okay with her staying until 25. The bigger factor however is that she's actually a decent seller considering her photobooks and magazine shoots.
/EDIT: As of this day Asakura Kiki has been on hiatus for 5 months (since May 8th)

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
I saw on twitter a few days ago that Nomura mentioned the Kobushi begged for more vocal lessons. Now they do more frequent lessons but before it was infrequent. I thought this was a fun fact to share because I always assumed they'd have frequent lessons.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
Reminds me of (Tanaka) Reina saying she didn't have singing lessons for years. Now it makes sense why Kanon frequently went to karaoke to improve her singing.

Not having lessons is probably why girls get stuff like nodes too.

Things like this make me want to root for KF. I really need to do my full review of their new album, because I have a lot to say about the group in general.

They probably don’t think it’s worth the money to pay for constant lessons.

Yeah, I think its probably worth it for the motivational aspect if nothing else, especially if it’s something all five of them really wanted. From a purely financial perspective, I honestly understand why they don’t shell out for constant lessons for all these girls.

I've done my own t-shirt designs of H!P groups because the official designs would look kinda dumb on a grown-ass man, but I would totally rock the Tsubaki Factory design featured in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awp4lzS3C88

Ikuta has been dropping hints left and right that she might be the next one to graduate from MM.
On a radio show, she's mentioned that she'd thought about becoming a kindergarden teacher (though I'm not sure - don't you need a degree for that in Japan? Like what Momoko did?). Her latest blog post had her say "I'll work hard until my graduation".
Now the big question is: When will it be announced?
My money is on some time this month so she can graduate at MM's spring concert final.

Mizuki is gonna outlast everyone in the group, isn't she?

Or maybe we’re all gonna get punked and Ikuta is gonna stay another two years or something. They’re both just over a year away from ten years. They’re both not that far away from 25, so we know they don’t have a crazy long time left.

Wasn't sure if this should go in here or spam but I am really fucking sickened by this corner in general now. TNB found another older one and I listened through it last night and it was just so....gross. Fuck you Sanma.

To be fair Sanma has always been gross. He has always been the old perverted man. Unfortunately he's also the biggest name H!P works with at the moment.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
Yeah I admittedly never paid attention to him before because I hate radio shows in general but just YIKES. Also yikes at the people in the comments defending it "lOL iT'S jUst JaPAneSe cuLtURe" when the original thread Henkka translated included many comments from Japanese people talking about how gross it is.

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
Sanma has always been a creep but ngl I remember at least some of the time that corner would have cringy ~kokuhaku~ type moments rather than straight up porno. I much prefer that to this sort of thing. Overall I think it's just asking for trouble because while some girls probably enjoy the adult humor, at least a few probably feel pressured to play along and not be a "debbie downer" despite their discomfort. Sanma is a legend and I imagine it would feel almost impossible to say "Hey, I don't want to do this, it's too far." when he has so much seniority. Even when underage members are on, they don't dial it back and that's not okay.

Sanma is one of the Big Three in Japanese comedy, as weird as it sounds. One of the others is Kitano Takeshi, to compare popularity.
To be fair, comedy in Japan has become a place of old guys not going with the times. Maybe that's also the reason why the classical variety shows in Japanese become less and less.

I’m surprised by how dirty this was too when I actually listened to the recording. Like if this was America he’d definitely have to make a public apology.

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
I think the fact that it's in English makes it worse. We understand it, and Japanese "eroticism" is usually about something dirty between the lines, underneath some layers. Miki straight out saying "I'm coming" is way too obvious.
/EDIT: On a happier note, looking through Miyo's birthday goods...
Birthday shirts are back!
I could actually see myself wearing this casually or even at work. It's got some artistic feel to it.
