As of the new year Murota Mizuki is not under Up-Front anymore.

I'm not surprised, if anything I'm surprised that she didn't leave Up-Front after her graduation. Probably to let the contract run out.

And Nakanishi Kana made her own photobook. Well, Kishimon, take notes!

Forgot to post this here (and please tell me if my posting behavior is considered spamming lol):

Tamura Meimi started a crowdfunding campaign for her very own solo musical. Apparently she has already exceeded her goal in only a few hours.
Meimi really challenges herself to new heights.

Wow she raised like over $100,000, and her original goal was $15,000. That’s amazing!!

From the article about her husband, Masahiro Tanaka, leaving the Yankees to sign with the Rakuten Golden Eagles: "In a press conference Masahiro confirmed that when he became a free agent he wanted to sign with the Yankees again, but after he heard 'different things' he decided to take a new route in his career."

What "different things" did he hear?

Guess who made a comeback? Yamaki Risa! She is now working in human resources for Sony and appeared in a video for them.

I'm late to the party but Wada Ayaka released an album last november and I'm surprised to see how much I enjoy her music and shows since her graduation.

Matsuura Aya appeared on a radio show! :eekrun:

It doesn't look like she's doing a full comeback yet, but she's thought about what happens once her children are a bit older...

It's wild how neither Sayu nor Reina have aged in 10 years.

The OG (it still feels weird calling them OG) unit of Takahashi Ai, Tanaka Reina and Natsuyaki Miyabi released a teaser MV of their cover of GOBAKU~We Can’t Go Back~

I feel like we're on Aa! 3.0 at this point, this includes Buono. :suika:

The three of them are releasing a comedy album in April (It was originally supposed to come out in March) called Laugh and Peace.
I'm not sure if this is going to be on it? Maybe? I'm still trying to make heads and tails of this group. It just feel like they (Up-Front) had two girls (Tanaka and Natsuyaki) who wanted to keep doing music but no real ambition to give them all their own groups and no want to see them do anything solo because they have too much time focusing on the younger girls. So they just threw Takahashi in because she's game for anything.

At least this isn't as weird as the fish music video.

Tanaka already has so many solo songs written for her, and she's done at least BG vocal recordings for them so she can use them in her lives. I really can't understand why they won't at least release them digitally.

Keeping some of these great forgotten H!P tracks alive has been a nice bonus of M-line's increased activity. Last week's episode featured a performance of Koi wa Magnet.

If they could get around to One Summer Night, that'd be great.

I like how the video shot in cell phone portrait perspective to tie everything together. Does anyone know if they changed any of the lyrics to make them from more of an adult perspective? I still prefer the original recording, though. It just has way more energy, which is to be expected from a group of trainees hungry to debut.

Nope!! Seems to be all the same lyrics. Don’t think they had any intentions to make it sound more mature since they put all 3 in school uniforms to match the feeling of the song lol. To be fair, could still be things an adult would say.

Not gonna lie, I love the idea of a fun album for the three of them. And I'm glad to see that Gobaku hasn't become one of the random songs that never get performed again.
The original is a bit "fresher", the three here are a bit more cool. I like both though.

So... we're really living in the worst timeline. Up Front starts using NFTs.

Which seems super hypocritical given all the work they've done for the environment awareness with Saotama or whatever that initiative was called.

Forgive the ignorance, but what would that have to do with the environment? Clueless. (Also, Satoyama 👍)

NFT's are stupid, but the alleged environmental impact is comically overblown.

Yes and no. On the one hand they're certainly not as bad as coal power stations or offshore oil rigs since they do not pollute the environment on their own. They do, however, need a lot of energy, since they're part of the whole crypto mining shit. Bitcoin needs more energy annually than the fucking Netherlands.

But I'd also say it's just... a damn big bubble. Crypto itself is shady, but NFTs have grown so much in such a short time, it just stinks like an upcoming explosion.

I mean, lots of frivolous things use lots of power. I'm not sure why NFTs are suddenly the hill to die on. The massive amount of media attention and anger directed at NFTs makes me think there's a ulterior motive separate from "climate" that's driving it.
