Her husband did the lyrics, composition, and arrangement.
Don't give me hope, dude!

Leftover from December 31st: Nomura Minami left Up Front and ended her entertainment career.

Good for her to use that chance to study abroad.

I've been doing a C-ute relisten and holy shit, Tsunkus voice in La La La Shiawase no Uta is so jarring. I forgot just how prominent it used to be. I was laughing listening to it.

It's so bad. That's the only song off of their 3rd album I straight up dislike, and creepy Tsunku is the main reason why.

I was just wondering what the hell Sayubee was doing yesterday, and it turns out she was releasing a new single.
"My Love"
This has a MKB feel to it, and I dig it. So much better than her last song.

Did anyone else know Maki has a perfume? Has anyone smelled it? Is it nice?
Re: UFP/OG Spam Thread :: All things non-Hello!Project Related!
I REALLY like the style of this video, the minimalism, the white background with skin and black hair, little accent of her earrings, really can focus on her and the singing. I love the style of video.
But the tension in her neck during bigger parts is scary as fuck.

From today's episode of M-line Music, Mai Ozeki gives one of the best performances of "Romantic Ukare Mode" I've seen by anyone not named Miki Fujimoto. Mai got real good at singing.

For real! I think that’s the biggest vocal glow-up I’ve seen.

Ayaka Wada released an album in 2021. I can't find it on CDJapan. Is it digital only?
Re: UFP/OG Spam Thread :: All things non-Hello!Project Related!
Yup, Shiteki Raisan is a digital album.

So I'm just now catching up on all the M-line Music episodes I've missed the past few months, and Ozeki seems to be their shiny new thing, which is awesome. Here she is with Karin doing "Peanut Butter Jelly Love"
I mean, when did she become this good? Sometime around the middle of last year, Country Girls clicked for me. I always liked a few of their songs, but I was totally uninterested in their 50s-60s retro stuff for some reason, but now I love even those songs. Pairing her up with Karin for PBJL was a great decision, because not only is Karin's voice well suited for the song, it pairs really well with Mai's.
If Risamaru can get a low-key solo career, why not Mai?

As someone who oshi'd Mai in OG Country Girls, I'd be more than fine with that.
I do wonder if Up Front has the fundings for that, though. Considering they're just launching Masaki's career and probably will give one to Mizuki after a break, too... they might keep Mai like Reina or Miyabi for now, as m-line concert members. My theory is that Risamaru kind of filled the gap they had planned for Mizuki when she announced her first graduation plans before covid.

Mai seems perfectly content being a side member. Doing concerts, plays etc. Some girls don’t crave the spotlight. They are happy to just be in it once in awhile.
I figured that when she didn’t join a group like the other CG members.

This is a place where a signature goes. Enjoy some Airi instead.

I don't think I ever posted about it here, but I love Risa Ogata's solo album: Bon Voyage! Risa Covers.
It came out in 2021, but I didn't find out about it until this past fall and bought it in November.

I think Ozeko also wanted to focus on acting, but idk how far that has gotten.

I was a HUGE CG fan. Mai could always hold a clean note and was consistent, but she was always underwhelming as a performer. I was so shocked to see her stage presence in these videos. Her voice is so clear and clean, she commands attention.
I'd rather her have a solo career than Masaki, but I of course understand the reasons why the decade-tenured Momusu member would be first choice.

Murotan's 3rd single is set for June 21st.
In an era where more former H!P idols than ever seem to be having interesting solo careers, Murotan's has been a massive disappointment. Her first two singles felt forced, try-hard and frankly boring to me. I don't think she has the voice to pull off the hard dance/R&B style she's been doing, so I hope the next one is more of a pop song.

Youplus dropped a couple of MVs on the 21st of February, one of which is a Nakanishi solo. I'll get to that later, because the new group track "In Your Dreams" is really goddamn good. The song is kind of like if Perfume did a song without Yasutaka Nakata. It's kind of chill, kind of moody, and a little bit indie. The video definitely channels Perfume, but it's perfect for the song. I'm honestly shocked at how great this is, and it makes me really happy for them.
The second one is Nakanishi's solo, "Mujaki," and it's adult-cute. The song is very much aiko-the-early-years, and it fits Kana nicely. It's nothing mind-blowing, but it's a properly professional pop song, which is all I've ever wanted for this group.
