That being said I've read somewhere that she won't be an idol or general entertainer but wants to become an influencer.
Sigh, "influencer" is, imo, one of the most stupid jobs to come out of the last 10-15 years. It's kind of like a door-to-door salesman but via screen and more subtle. I hope she has plans otherwise.

Oh, I know that part. But this seems like an easy paycheck for her. So I'm wondering why she isn't more interested in doing it. Unless she is ashamed about how much her life circumstances have changed.

Damn, excited for this! It was fun to follow MKB's releases back in the day, even if their songs didn't quite hold up for me over time.
At the same time, sad to hear about Ohtani. H!P and idol life exist in such a bubble that someone being a real person and falling on hard times ~15 years later doesn't cross the mind as a possibility.
This reunion/comeback is going to bring a lot of attention to her and make things even tougher. :/

Ohtani had several problems over the years, from anxiety disorder to falling victim to loan sharks, being fired from her (already low income, nairsalon) job and deleting all her social media in 2023 because she wanted to stay out of the public eye.
