MKB - Pinch wa Chance, Baka ni Narouze! PV

Post by sadude »

via DohhhUP!

This is their 2nd collab single, this time with NEW ROTE’KA. It came out on 7/22, though you wouldn't know about it from it not having been mentioned here save for one post in the Release Dates thread. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... cratch.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I don't like it as much as the first collab (Don't Say Goodbye). I've just watched it twice, and I don't remember it at all. The Don't Say Goodbye chorus is stuck in my head in its place, heh.

But hey, it's the second best single they've had in the past year. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... imshot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' />

Yeah, not as good as the last single. The chorus starts out sounding like (I think) a Go! Go! 7188 song and then just sort of goes blah. Still, I love this concept. I always thought that putting Nono and Kago in a rock band would have been brilliant.

I actually like this song better than the last one, which I thought was okay but not wonderful. But you're right about the chorus, it shows much more promise than it actually delivers. The dude's clown face is sort of stupid, but Masae's hilarious fro-bow upstages it. At least, I think it's her, I don't know my Melons well enough, and the video quick-cuts too much.

I'm more interested in the upcoming single with midori despite the terrible quality of the preview.

What's the first thing you do when you return home after a concert?

Outside of the chorus, I like it better than Don't Say Goodbye. I'm a bigger fan of NEW ROTE'KA than I am of The Beat Crusaders, though, so that might have something to do with it. Both are way better than Sweet Suicide Love Story, though. Midori is just weird.

This song is far better than the last one. The energy is really high, and the mix still highlights all the strengths of each girl's voice. Fun song, I hope these actually get real PV releases, not just Dohhhup. That clown guy is really fucking scary, though. This reminds me a lot more of the old school MKB stuff when Atsushi Shindou was still writing their stuff.

Or at least not just live. I mean, do the single versions even sound any different than these videos? I wouldn't know since they made these singles annoying to acquire.

This song gets better and better the more I listen to it. MKB doing rock is the realization of a dream from my much younger self. They have such great energy and charisma onstage. I don't mind the live PVs so much because I love watching them live. I just hope these singles are smashed into a single cd and the concert is released retail wide so I can buy it. D: I feel so GUILTY downloading these things.

I hope these collabs will net them more fans from across the spectrum. I am now a fan of NEW ROTE’KA, hopefully some of their fans cross over too.
