Entering the great company of Gackt and Puri Puri Pink, S/mileage's second single has one of the most obnoxiously long titles ever. "Asu wa Deeto na no ni Ima Sugu Koe ga Kikitai" (or "Even though we have a date tomorrow, I want to hear your voice right now") comes out 9/23 and like their first single, it has no B-side.
The cover is really adorable, despite the cheap photoshop work. I don't really care for the outfits when you see them in full during the photoshoot video, they look kind of like Halloween costume versions of lolita dresses. As for the song, there's not that much to go off of in the previews, but it seems cute?

I was going to ask if they're even old enough to be going on dates, but then I checked out their ages and it seems like Wada Ayaka recently turned 15, so I guess she might be able to start going on dates soon (uh, if she weren't an idol of course). But I certainly wouldn't let Ogawa Saki go out if I were her dad, but I guess there are always sock hops!
Wait, sorry, we were talking about something else.
I admit, I haven't yet listened to the first single, but the vocals in the preview sounded like it could get annoying or cute depending on the production. AKIRA is pretty awesome, so that's nice.
The outfits have cool umbrellas I guess, but something does seem cheaply off on them.
What's the first thing you do when you return home after a concert?
LinLin: "I stop thinking and stare into nothingness."
The princess/lolita outfits from the cover shoot seem to be gone (unless they're in another scene) and they're in outfits that look basically...exactly like the ones in their first PV.
So I finally listened to this which came out last week. I wouldn't have bothered, but I was putting it on the bbs's online radio. It's so awesome. The arrangement is doing such fun videogame things in the background. They voices can be a little high-pitched of course, but their vocal manipulations of drawing out some of the lines are awesome.
I guess I should go see if their first single was any good.

It's not as great as this. .__.

Yes, I have since found this out after writing that. I guess AKIRA is just that awesome at arranging Tsunku's music. We all knew that of course.

Her voice is so beautiful. Better than most of the rest of H!P.
I personally prefer aMa no Jaku, which really really grew on me despite a lackluster chorus. However, this is also good, and a totally different feel than their first single. The video is really cute, too. This can't remain an indies group for too long... They're already better putting out better stuff than C-ute and Berryz. (now if I could just switch Dawa out for a better egg.... Kikkawa Yuu or Miyamoto Karin or something....)
I didn't listen to the preview until the PV was posted. And....Oh this is so cute! I love this!
The 4 girls have such clear, nice voices and the song allows them to show themselves off as individuals. The song is a bit slow but thats okay. I like that they have real set(s) and costumes here too.
It is about time I gave the Eggs girls more attention. They were just cute anime kids before but it seems some real strong ones are pulling themselves out of the crowd...

I know, right. I hate (like?) having more things to pay attention to.

That apart, it's not an incredible song like its predecessor it has a bit less of an indies sound plus "koe ga kikitai ai ai ai" just gets stuck on your mind @_@
I finally got around to watching this last weekend and its absolutely adorable and even though the song has one of the weirdest structures and arrangements ever, its awesome as hell once you get used to it. This is definitely a second coming of 2nd gen Tanpopo, from the look to the songwriting, everything fits. The outfits are hyper-cute in a way that almost makes it too weird because they're so young and wearing bordello outfits (as we like to call them around here.) I hope this group continues to get better as time goes on, because they're already extremely awesome and have a lot of personality as a group.
