Go to this link for a story in today's New York Times entitled, "Love, from Iwo Jima." It tells the story of how a 21-year-old soldier took an envelope from the corpse of a Japanese soldier after the battle of Iwo Jima in WWII and found a child's drawing and a baby photo. Only recently did the now-85-year-old veteran finally connect with the grown woman depicted in the baby photo, the daughter of the dead soldier (she's now 65 and living in the U.S.) and give her the envelope and its contents.
An amazing story, but be prepared to... <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
