Kago's coming back to the US in March, although I believe she'll be even more exclusive than last time~ CONSIDERING IT'S ONLY 298,000 yen per person to be her best friend for a week!!! (to be fair, I think, that's airfair to and from japan + accommodations and you tour LA and schools and crap.)

Interestingly, Jones was one of the many Power Rangers who appeared at Anime Expo last July. In fact, one of my goals when I went out there was to try and do a story on Power Rangers and interview as many of them as I could. Well, given all the activity around Morning Musume, I just never got around to it. Back in 1998 or 99, my girlfriend at the time and I stopped into a restaurant on the east side of Dearborn, Michigan (near the Detroit border) and we see a family of three walk in, obviously returning from church. The girl I was with (Gwen) would often make a point of saying "Hi!" very enthusiastically to people, and so she did on this morning. The Mom returned her greeting and grabbed a table with the rest of her family. About five minutes later, she walks over to our table and thanks Gwen for saying hello to them, and bemoans the fact that people don't do that enough these days. She then proceeds to tell us that her oldest son is the black Ranger, and goes on and on and on about him. Now, I don't hold this against her too much, because I figure she's just really proud of her son, and rightly so. But then she did something really bizarre: she went to her car, retrieved a single promotional photo of her son Walter (unfortunately, the last one she had, for which she was very apologetic) and proceeded to sign the photo to us from the mother of Walter Emanuel Jones. No bullcrap. Who does that?

Yeah, I suppose 3000 dollars for a week trip package that includes language classes and all that isn't totally a rip-off, but is Kago only doing that one "Sayonara Party"? Seems like not enough.
