Quick question: what's the title of the concert Koharu graduated in? I didn't see anything on CDJapan that seemed likely. And I want to pre-order when it comes up. But I don't know what it's called.

Thank you.

The fall concert is titled "Nine Smile". Here's the CDJapan link: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=EPBE-5371.

It's got two discs this time, and if the concert recordings are anything to go by, it ran for nearly three hours. I hope they throw some backstage and extra performance footage on, although records have generally thrown into the DVD magazines.

Thanks, Kitaoji. When I looked yesterday it wasn't there.

BTW, yesterday I did a blog entry reviewing the H!P Summer 2009 concert.

And tonight I added some screen grabs.

Here's a preview:

Yes.

And I don't think she got worse, she improved...it's just I think she pulled a Kirarin Revolution for that. Her voice isn't nearly that annoying in the singles (Onna ni Sachi Are is the one I have in mind), atleast to me.

They certainly don't seem to be as emotional as they usually are, even Ai-chan doesn't look like her usual blubbering (but still very attractive) mess.

I've collected the concert recordings from about half of the whole tour, and it sounds awesome in so many different ways possible. It's like an upgraded version of JKM 3.

Ones that I'm also looking forward to? Aki Urara and Sakura Mankai.

Joshi Kashimashi Monotagari (4?)

I am very stupid and do not know my Momusu well. I had no clue Aika was really from Osaka...so her "nandeyanen?!" caught me off guard.

Sweet, translations in the comments.

I'm sure they're not exact, but it's better than my horrid Japanese...

EDIT - Links ahoy!

This girl looks like she has the entire concert uploaded.

I think I'm getting my YouTube ripper and ripping THE ENTIRE THING.

EDIT II - I'll stop now okay?

I need to share this.

Man, that new announcer voice is horrible (it sounds like Tsunku). lol

Hopefully someone will sub/translate this, I really want to know what they are saying.

Have they done this before, that they (it seems) talk about themselves, instead of having the others talk about them, like it was in the original JKM ?

Also, this has nothing to do with kusumi. haha

EDIT:

Oh, translations in the comments. Nevermind my second sentence then.

@Turtle; YEEEESS

That, and JunJun saying she wants "a little sister."

I just watched the entire concert, save for the MC bits and those seventeen minutes of graduation ceremony.

It was awesome. If I had a DVD player that would recognize the DVD, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I really liked "LOVE MACHINE," which is coming from someone who dislikes that song. Also enjoyed the coupling melody, HOW DO YOU LIKE JAPAN and Aruiteru.

Sayu sounded really really good in the solo.

Since Nine Smile is her graduation concert, you can talk about it here. D:

I love the chinese version of Ame no Furanai. I bet the Album version will be so much better with all the tweeks and stuff that happens between a live and a studio version.

Another winner for Worst Costume Ever! WTF were they thinking?! Risa and Koharu sing Sukiyaki.

Good God in Heaven, what was the designer(s) thinking about with those atrocities. It's nice that UFA are doing something for the disabled by employing the terminally colour blind but still....

Isn't there something in the Geneva Convention that stops idols being treated like this?

This was so damn disappointing. Not the costumes, but the performance itself. The song just doesn't fit their voices, even though I normally like both of their voices, and dancing around like idiots makes it so they can't really sing correctly and keep running out of breath. Its one of my favorite H!P songs and never gets performed live, so I'm a little disappointed, but not terribly surprised, most concerts suck ass nowadays.

I also watched the other 2 or 3 songs I was somewhat interested in from the tracklist and I was bored to tears. The Chinese Ame blahblahblahblahblah was pretty good, and they cut about 3 minutes off of the song.

Yeah, but it's still annoying.

The day where we have all the kusumi-infected songs without her can't come soon enough. Even if they're only going to be live versions.

That was just...horrifying.

Am I the only one of the opinion that they need to rerecord Sakura Mankai and Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu Niwa Naranee!~ with the new gens? I love both of those songs and they sounded really great with the new kids.

No, no, no, no, and no, please don't let any one interfere with the original. Although I would be happy with a Kago-free version anything without Yossie and Marippe would just some seem somehow dirty.

Now the subject of Sakura Mankai has been raised can anybody tell me the significance in the PV of the biting; lips, cloth, hair etc. I assume it has some sort of meaning in Japan?

In Japan they usually eat cloths etc. when sitting under the cherry blossom trees as a symbolic gesture to holding off the moths so they won't come and destroy the blooms.

No, no, no, no, and no to both of those. Hearing Sakura Mankai again in this concert was great, but like hell that version has anything on the original. They could record another one for shits n' giggles, but the original is where it's at, man.

And Kago makes the song, so I don't know what you mean by that. It jarred me to hear her lines performed by someone else since she sounded best in the song.
