Anyway, I love the new profiles pics, except for Risa's. The covers are surprisingly contemporary for idol covers. The color scheme is nice. Who knows, maybe for ALL-EVEN we'll get three colors!

I for one like the album covers, and though the splits by generation are boring and predictable, I secretly hope they will be awesome!!



Looking @ the new profile photos for everyone, I really don't like the boring monochrome color scheme. Boo. But the individual photos I think are actually pretty nice! Takahashi's angle is really weird, Niigaki reminds me of Nakazawa in hers for some reason, Eri looks really cute but her face seems weird to me...I don't know. Sayu is adorable as always, and I really like her hair wavy like that! Reina looks thinner (if that's even possible?) but sexy. I'm really starting to love her. Aika on the other hand, I think really got boned on this shoot. The angle is weird (she looks like she's checking to see if she remembered deodorant...) and I hate what they've been doing to her hair lately and this continues the trend. Ugh. Junjun looks like Junjun, which is good because she's pretty. Linlin has always given me an Ayaka vibe and this time, she actually doesn't! She looks really nice for once!! I usually hate what they do with her hair/clothes in profile shots, but I think this is definitely a step up for her. I like it.



I'm actually really pumped for this album, which hasn't happened to me since Sexy 8 Beat...but maybe that's my fault for not having internet access for most of last year...

This probably just because you don't have a few settings turned on. Pretty much every browser has a setting to view Japanese (and a whole host of other languages). Usually under some variation on View -> Encoding.





I'm surprised there's no previews floating around for this yet. Maybe they'll be out this coming week. Everyone looks awful in those profile pictures, their expressions are just dull or awkward. I hope they look better on the actual covers.

And I agree with you TnB...there should've been atleast one preview by now. There were previews for SHOCKING 5 how long before it released?

Have you tried to install any Japanese font? In Windows you can solve that problem just by installing some font like Mincho.



Back to topic, Haru is right. Where are the previews? I think they'll be out this week... I hadn't noticed how close we were to the release date. I remember hearing radio-rips from SHOCKING 5 in the beginning of February but I don't know if they were already out before as I was studying hard for Toefl in January.

The first few lines sound like they want to sing the chorus of Kimagure Princess (funny how this song even follows Kimagure Princess on the album) and the instrumental at times sounds like EVERYDAY Zekkouchou!! I'm not really excited about this track, but the strings that kick in around the end of the preview seem like an interesting change. This has to be arranged by Okubo Kaoru, I even hear that weird synth that plays in the background of Nanchatte Renai's rap.



Ok, now this song is a bit more interesting after realizing that they Frankensteined it.

Past that, I really like it though.



As for the tour poster, it's...wow. I adore Ai's hair, but the oddity of JunJun's hair cancels it out. :c

My problem with the limited cover is how you can tell they shot each girl individually. Take a look at their sides; purple on the left, blue on the right (stage left/right) and obviously no accounting for lights and shadows.

Ick, you're right. I noticed that on Eri, and after a few moments of focusing, Sayu. It was debatable on Aika (who I think might be the next butch Momusu) because that's where the gradient shifted, but...

Previews for Ooki Hitomi and Moonlight Night are out. Moonlight Night kind of sounds like an H!P attempt at Gackt-era Malice Mizer. I don't even know. Some points of it remind me of it remind me of Kozi's solo work. I really like Ooki Hitomi's beat in the start but am not big on the rest of it. I actually like how this album sounds so far. There's also one for Namidacchi but I haven't listened yet.

Moonlight Night sounds more like a Takaganaka™ trio song. Since they revealed this title earlier than the others, I wonder if they originally had plans to use it for a TV/Movie tie-in or even a single release. Line distribution is more typical than album tracks would normally get. Surprisingly nice quality for a radio preview. Tanaka Nao got last album's opener, did he do it again or is this Hirata?

The "electroconvulsive therapy part one" line is very familiar, I think it was a Clazziquai song or maybe Halfby? Dorlis? Jet Set Radio ..Future? This is going to drive me insane...



+Kimagure Princess's hoi! yells + the random OH OH! yells in Tanpopo#'s UMBRELLA + synth of The Possible's Sayonara Nante, also using that sneaky sound of The Manpower!!!. The "Moonlight night" line is even sung in the rhythm of Sayonara Nante's "Woah-a-oh"



Oh nevermind TV tie ins, I bet Rakuten Eagles will use this as their theme song (and start losing again <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> )



Ooki Hitomi sounds like Aya Hirano's Namida Namida Namida. The first 15 seconds of the song are perfect, then it loses me slightly, but overall, I like it. I hope the other Gen songs are even better.
