I don't think so.

I haven't really watched any of their PV/MVs/whatever, so I can't tell you; but I'm a huge fan of 2NE1 and you can see personality in their photoshoots/videos. I think T-ara's about the same way if you watch the "Bo Peep Bo Peep" video, the dance edition.

They're trying out a new "black" concept. This means "marginally darker than cheerleaders", apparently, but I'm not complaining because it's really hot.

Run Devil Run
Oh wow, the first SNSD song that somehow sticks with me. Everything I've heard from them until now was just terribly unmemorable and flat synthetic background music. This one finally has the OOMPH! and some catchy melodies and vocals. Definitely goes in my playlist.

I have enjoyed the video a lot too. It's not exactly groundbreaking or even imaginative as far as videos go, and I normally prefer videos with some sort of a plot to them, but the great production in this one makes up for it. Watch this UFA, you can make a "girls dancing against an almost plain backdrop" PV look good!

HOWEVER - I just can't feel any emotional or any at all connection with them. That's a problem I had with all their videos and appearances that I ever saw. They are robots. Manufactured, photoshopped and airbrushed to Hell and back, then thrown into the deepest pits of the uncanny valley. I is afraid.

Do they ever show any personality or "girl next door" side, at least if official media? And is it just them, or is that a general Korean thing (I don't follow K-pop at all)?
They actually all have personality out the ass on variety shows... I don't know what you've seen, but it can't be very much haha. They have buckets more than anyone in Morning Musume now (Which admittedly isn't saying much tbh). Watch stuff like Horror Movie Factory, Invincible Youth, Strong Heart, Golden Bell, Girls Go to School, and lots of other shows (Hello Baby as well was amazing XD).

I think the main reason the video is weird and the dance doesn't stick with you that much is probably because whoever made the video is an idiot and just randomly threw clips together. They're almost never singing the right part of the song other than solo parts in the video, so obviously the dance doesn't really match up either. Watch their live performance on Music Bank ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBGKTwPClSM ) to actually judge the dance imo, cause it looks a lot better there.

*edit*

Oh and I forgot to mention We Got Married. God that's an awesome show. Taeyeon was on it a while back, and Seohyun is on it now with the lead guy from CNBLUE and it's just gd adorable. Family Outing as well. Especially Tiffany's recent appearance with Nicole from Kara. She has a "hate relationship" as Korean media calls it apparently with Daesung from Big Bang, and it's pretty hilarious. (That show is also the only reason I've started to love Lee Hyori too, cause she's fucking hilarious on it)

If my video card wasn't fucked on my computer right now (Using my laptop till RMA gets back) I'd upload a bunch of good stuff. You can look on youtube for Soshified subs since they've subbed probably just about everything ever having to do with snsd. (And I've downloaded it all mwa ha ha)

In case you didn't notice, I'm a snsd fan now, and can say from experience with saturation of both H!P and snsd that I "got to know" snsd and their personalities a lot faster than MM partly because they're on more stuff than MM ever seemed to be, but also because it seems they are allowed to express their thoughts and act out a bit more than H!P idols ever were. (Even though it seems like Korean fans are even less forgiving than Wotas. Some fan groups, especially Hottests(2pm fans) have done some pretty crazy shit even by Wota standards. The most recent thing I can think of that I never really heard of happening in Japan is snsd getting glowsticks thrown at them en masse during a performance recently from some fan group that had some problem with something they did(seriously the crazy Korean fans are crazy)) (Oh yeah it was possibly because they did a peppero game on a fucking variety show and 2pm fans didn't like it http://www.allkpop.com/2010/03/2pm-fan-thr...wsticks-at-snsd lolallkpop)

Imaginary lapdance, you guy !

HNNNGGGG... for some reason (probably subliminal messages device) the "ruuun, ruuun, ruuuun" thing in the refrain got stuck in my brain cells and I was thinking about it the last two days and now I can't get it out of my mind again. =/

I still dislike the normal verses outside of the refrain though.

I downloaded this song this morning and decided to play it at work on my iPod. If you aren't paying attention to the music and working the song just repeats itself because it doesn't have a very big stopping point that screams HEY THIS IS THE END OF THE SONG. And since it's only one song out of an album I just kept repeating it over and over again and now the damn song is stuck in my head.

I also downloaded T-ara's album and that Bo Peep Bo Peep just shoves itself right into your head. But other then the forceful Bo Peep song, I really liked T-ara's stuff. I hear they are going to try for a Japanese release. They also are doing the black and white theme in their latest singles.

Yeah, I picked up T-ara's album when I was in Korea and was pretty happy to find that not all the songs were like Bo Peep. I heard Bo Peep every few feet on the street while I was there haha, but the rest of the album has a lot different feel to it, which I ended up liking a lot more.

I love Run Devil Run ♥

They look so hot in the video. I can't wait to see the performance with the white outfits from the video.

Their first performance with the weird white outfits with the collars and weird hair was.. just weird. They shouldn't perform it with hand mics.

The latest performance in the black and glittery hoods was fab. Love the dance.

Kesha's version has stupid lyrics.

I can't wait to see the Story version mv.

I'm not sure what it is, but for whatever reason they always seem to have to wear collars or some sort every time they wear something white to perform. Usually it's like a big puffy boa looking thing, but this time it just looked like something people wore in sci fi movies in the 70s and 80s.

Yeah that was a dumb outfit for the first performance, and the choreography is still absolutely terrible. It's just all over the place, no direction or thought seemed to have gone into it, just "how many other dances can we rip off here?". Bring back Rino!

Also, that move when they sing "bad boy" in the first verse... Dumbest dance move ever?

I don't like After School. I have tried giving them a chance but I don't like any of their songs and they look quite trashy.

It's a real waste of a sexy majorette concept.

I give them kudo points or going against the black and white theme and doing something different but I sorta agree. It doesn't have quite the same punch as some of the other groups with songs out now.

But then again I love the song/video for Let's Do It they did an awesome job with the drums. It took them 5 months to learn it and I thank them greatly for doing a live version of it. It's the best part.

I want 4minute to release something new and not that collab with Amerie.

I ordered the repackaged SNSD album, my first Korean music purchase! I would have bought T-ara's album and Kara's Lupin mini album but I needed to buy Morning Musume's 10th album. Damn thing was expensive compared to the Korean albums.

I like Bang, but at least half of them can fuck off and die for all I care. Especially the obnoxious and terrible rapper. I mostly like Raina, she's a great singer and looks cute.

All their other songs that I've heard were dreadful. A lot of them were ruined by the rapper. The single includes a sort-of passable ballad, though. Not as good as anything on the SNSD album, but not terrible.

So, I'm a HUGE fan of After School. Their first single, AH, didn't grab me at first, but their second single did. Because of You was great. The song itself, the vocals, the dance, the mv. The whole deal. At first the rapping thing did bother me, but when I looked at this and saw the lyrics, the rapping doesn't seem so out of place anymore, and then it soon became one of my favorite songs. When I downloaded this single, it came with When I Fall. IT. IS. BEAUTIFUL. I'm not sure if you have listened to it, but it has no rapping. Raina shines in this song. I'm glad they added her.

As for their new song, I love it love it LOVE IT. I love chanting along with the shouting parts, singing the oh oh oh, ha ha ha, bang bang bang parts, the rap, EVERYTHING. It's also a added bonus with the snare drums and the marching band get-up because I was in marching band throughout high school and it made my inner band geek jump joyfully in glee.

A new song released a few days ago by ZE:A called All Day Long, and I'm really taking a liking to it! This song and 99% of After School and U-Kiss songs are produced by Brave Brothers. I'm really liking the style of this producer.

Well, it is a boring video to me, so there was no real sarcasm involved. =P

However, Joel showed me this video yesterday:

This, I like. (except for those distracting children inbetween) Catchy tune, has a catchy thing inbetween (that Ah-Ah-Ahaa) and the girls are hot. :>

On my first listen of Bang!, I was pretty disappointed considering how much I liked Because of You, but after another listen or so, the beat and catchiness started to grow on me. And Do it Now is awesome. I'm really impressed that they actually learned how to drum for their promotions and I was really happy when they performed it live.

I still have trouble recognizing half of the group, but I totally love Kahi and Raina. I love Raina's vocals and Kahi is just all around awesome.

I actually really don't like the "Ah-ha-ah-ha-ah-haaa" in the middle of the chorus. It interrupts the flow! FUCKS UP MA JAM, YA KNOW WAT I'M SAYIN?

... lol the slow break. If only everyone looked that fresh and pretty during marching band practices. We generally just looked sweaty and gross as fuck wearing athletic clothes, haha.

I wish I could find that video of Gahee dancing to Run to U, Diva, and My Name on Strong Heart. Bitch is FIERCE. She's one of the most powerful girl dancers I've ever seen in k-pop, land of the Bo Peeps and the Gees.

After School had about 4-5 episodes on MTV Korea subber somehwhere on youtube (not enough time for me to search for it now) about their debut with the 5 original girls, and I enjoyed it. I think, if I remember correctly on Strong Heart, Ga Hee had ran away home when she was like early 20's late teens because I think her parents didn't want her to persue her dream or something. Her parents had found the area she was living and had lunch together. She said she had to use the bathroom and escaped threw the window, and it was sadddddddd.

I think the message just says that it's an external site that's going to pop up which then pops the blog into a new window, once you let noscript through and allow pop ups that is.

Secret just released the MV for their new single "Magic"

MV

The MV is pretty basic, but I still love it. The song is catchy as all get out, even the 'mazik' part.

I hope the beat from this teaser is used in a song or at least released as intro on their single.
